Question The Turbo....

does anybody have concern about the turbo as much as I do....In the summer i watched my bosses house and he left me his BMW to drive while he was away...unfortunately the radiator cracked while i was driving it and his is turbo. Recently he just had something else go wrong and the dealership said it was due to the car being a turbo because more stress is but into the motor....now is it just me or doesnt it concern you that a BMW is having a problem, what is going to happen to a cobalt....I only have and 06 cobalt ss/nc but to those people who get the turbo they might end up shelling out more money if wear and tear takes place like it did in my bosses BMW, and not to be rude because my car means a lot to me but if its happening to a BMW, its going to happen to a chevy cobalt....just a thought hopefully chevy owners who buy one dont get upset and bitter about owning a cobalt if something goes wrong because i think i can speak for a lot of us and say we all love our cars!!!

if your engine is tuned right and has the right internals, you have nothing to worry about.

The engineers that make BMWs don't design Chevys, and if it breaks in less than 5 years, it should be under warrenty anyway. If you are worried about your car breaking, buy a bicycle, oh wait, those can break too. Welcome to the real world.

Take care of it and you should be fine like the other 200,000 people that have cobalts.

The turbo probably had nothing to do with the radiator cracking.I worked at bmw,and everyother week i would be replacing a radiator and expansion tank on one of those things.Especially in the winter months.

i think german cars overall are not that great quality in the engine department. They have some nice engines but not really reliable.
