Actually the best part is its a small S252ET snail on a stock motor haha. This is the same guy that's ran the hellcat in the war stories thread.

I'm on the same set up but with a ported head and S2 cams. This definitely makes me look forward to see what my car will do on 30psi and E this year

 

Why would that suck? At the end of the day, we are still driving Cobalt's, a ecobox with a little bit of power.

Yeah that's Marcus, I'm not sure if he's on here. At the end of the day they are still the ones in the GTR and ZR1, but it is still cool to see him out there handling some serious business! Especially on such a basic yet effective turbo setup on the balt

 

Yeah I agree I'd rather lose to one freak cobalt and still drive home in a GTR or ZR1 lol, still impressive though.

 

I'm sorry, but I think the GTR is one ugly ass car. But then again, I drive an Abarth & people think that's ugly haha.

Truthfully though, they actually sound surprisingly good. I've caught myself turning around a few times to hear what was driving by only to see a stupid fiat.

 

How fast a car can accelerate in a straight line is only considering about 10% of what the vehicle is capable of. Take it to a real race course to see what the cars can do, and that cobalt would be horribly embarrassed. Then there is the visual comparison... well there really is no comparison lol.

That is why a GTR costs 80K.

It had half the power of the cars it beat.

 

There is always one guy that brings up a race track. Come on now, the only track I see in the video is a drag strip. Obviously they are there to race in a strait line not a track. Yes they will be better around turns but know one cares. At the end of the day 90% of people who have fast cars only care about a strait line.

 

Actually a ton of people care...like the ones who buy those kind of cars and go to autocross and road racing events. That's why they buy them over a cobalt among many other reasons.

The 90% (the ones who don't care, and I'm willing to bet it's much less than 90%) only street race to compensate for their severe lack of driving skills.

Yes the time attack cobalt did very well, but still didn't come even close to the other 2 cars in this video, and neither would the cobalt in this video.

 

Ok so now youre saying that the handling capabilities of the time attack balt dont matter because these cars are faster in a straight line.
