i use to have a universal shift knob on my civic and the four bolts holding it down would become lose at least once a week.. i was wondering if anyone else has this problem with universal shift knobs. I was thinking of taking off the shift knob off of my cobalt but i don't want to deal with a universal knob becoming lose every week.

 

I am assuming its held on by set screws, correct?

If thats the case, an easy way to prevent them from working their way out is to either use a little thread lock in the holes, or some teflon (plumbers) tape.
