useless when it comes to cars
I honestly could care less as to what your Cobalt's would do. This entire topic has nothing to do with that haha. The kid is asking if you have to be mechanically inclined to have a SS/TC and you come in saying if he gets a Cobalt he might as well kill himself, you my friend are an idiot
Vettes arent expensive as people think. I would advise him to get a better platform and something with more aftermarket support.
Yea Idk what I would advise him to go with if he decided to leave the Cobalt family. LS platform is not a bad route to go, and would make him learn how to work on cars
I personally think that for someone that isin't mechanically inclined such as the OP, the SS/TC would be a great car to start with since they are relativley easy to work on IMO
No need for a CAI on these cars period regardless of engine. the restriction on these cars is usually in the exhaust. And I believe there's no need to modify the TC's exhaust as it has a full 2.5" exhaust.

It seems like most peoplee on here are very knowledgable about their cars and I am far that. I know it depends on the car but am I going to be running into a lot of problems that I can not fix on my own and not be worth buying the car?

on the serious note, just get it man, I did the same thing, I know a lot about cars and I had an 05 LS Sedan for several years but once I got my SS/TC I just hopped into the LNF section and caught myself up on stuff that I need to know about the LNF, everything else is pretty much the same.
