well my car has officially been keyed.

yep. i dont know if it was an actual key, because the scratches are DEEP i mean you can see the metal. no idea who did iit, i walked inside work for 5 minutes, came outside and it was done. tomorrow i'm gonna call insurance...
why do people do that? i was under the impression that you dont mess with peoples cars. the scratches are all the way across the passenger side. they can just sand it and repaint right? even on the plastic bumpers and stuff? i dont want them to have to replace panels and ****..

Mine has rear end damage due to some idiot hitting me and not knowing how to drive in adverse weather. I'll be in the shop too.

i dont think they would give you a rental car, i would have them take a look at it and see how much it is to get it fixed, or if your lucky i would try to touch paint it to make it look alright and see if you can live with it cause im sure that would be the cheapest route to go if you be a decent painter. cause that garbage sounds expensive!

That sucks man. I hate to see cars keyed, seems kind of childish. If someone has a beef with you, they should face you like a man. Pretty much a rule of thumb is if you scrape it with your fingernail and can feel it, it will have to be painted. Sounds like you are way past that. Your car is silver? Good news is the color match should be good, we have had good luck matching silver Cobalts. In Illinois I think you have to be 21 to get a rental (or courtesy) car. I don't know about where you live.

My friends civic got keyed at my high school 2 years back..... We found the person in the hall, so me, my friend and our buddies kicked the **** outta him....When we were in the office, the principle asked us if it was really nessecary to act violently. OBVIOUSLY it is! ... when someone f*cks up your mint condition ride IT MEANS WAR

Hope you find the person and kick the **** outta em, and you should get a rental (if your covered for one) I was involved in a accident about a week ago(wasnt my fault) ,my rides still in the shop and the rental they gave me is Fcken sweet. Its a 2007 Camry

When you get tired of beating people, I'll take my turn. People like that need to grow up.

it's always punks that are too much of a ***** to say somethin to you, so then they act like little bitches and take it out on your car. they will get what's coming to them.

claim it as comprehensive on your insurance.

well i called insurance also filed a police report. i have to go to some allstate drive in ''inspection'' tuesday and they'll figure it out fromt here.

also, i -might- have an idea who it was. i do delivery, and on that delivery before my car got keyed, i noticed these 2 chics following me and i think one flipped me off. i had never seen them before in my life, but i remember the car because they got in front of me and started driving like 5 mph. anyways, they kept following me and i didnt want them to know that i work for pizza hut or anything so i took off my hat, and drive out the opposite direction of my delivery. they finally gave up on following me, so i went on my delivery and went back to the store. i made sure they werent following me this whole time. so i dont know, it was either them or a guy i work with who thinks i did something to his truck a while back. but i dont think he would. i found where those girls live though. hehehe

OPPOSITE TIME!

I'm always happy to hear about freelance artists expressing themselves so liberally. I also believe that it should be no problem to lend one's car and to allow them to display their creativity. I would absolutely love to come to my car and see that it was so deeply touched, and it would make me feel very well and good all over.

We fix keyed cars fairly often. Theres a lot of fraud in that area, some ppl will key their own cars, specially young people to attempt getting a free paint job. You know it when they start asking for a color change lol.

In all seriousness, make sure your insurance company pays for blending adjacent panels so you get a proper color match. Also make sure that you get Re&Re on your car (remove and reinstall) for door handles, belt moldings, bumpers body side mouldings etc. to do a proper job.

Good luck and sorry about your car!

It's the downside of having a somewhat nice looking car...immatureness. I've had my car keyed twice and egged once on mischief night.

Get it fixed and good luck. People are just straight haters and need a life.

People who do this also don't respect other peoples properties...period.
