i was reading some reviews online about the G5 and it says its got a engine immobilizer what is that?

how do you activate the immobilizer anyway...like if you come back to the parking lot and your car is gone...can you call GM to do it? or do you need Onstar?

 

the immoblizer is always activated,if your car is broken into, the car will not start up unless its your key

 

define broken into with these cars....the factory alarm i can get to set off for the life of me..

 

my factory alarm works great,what I mean is if they make it past the alarm and try to TURN the car on they will have no success,anti-theft deterrennt 3 reconizes your key only and shuts it self down upon unrecinzed whatevers

 

haha but unfortuonetly its extremly easy to steal our cars. every once in a while actually alot of the while some will come in with keys stuck in the ignition and the cylinders are bad. so we replace the cylinder. but it takes all of 5 min's to get out with no special tools and once its out all you have to do is stick something in there and turn it, and it starts...
