True Gen III engine won't be in a junkyard, and will be difficult to put in the car. What ZZP calls Gen III is the LDK/LHU and here in the states was in the 2010+ Saab 9-3/9-5 and Buick Regals. Good Luck.

Also, if you go the LDK route, I'm not sure what needs to be done to the block to make it fit. Someone on here said they put a "Gen III" block in their LSJ, you might want to chat with him.
I'm from suffolk county oakdale bohemia area and someone passed along info for one in a yard for 650 but I'm currently in pa for schooling so why I'm here always going through the yards hunting got a saab mani for my turbo build for 20 bucks love u pull its so what exactly is the block zzpsells for the lsj then cause thats the one I'm looking for what cars are it in
The info is in the thread.
ZZP isnt going to tell you where they source their blocks from.
Figure it out if you wanna do the leg work yourself.
Buddy just got a gen3 thats built to a 2.1 stroker for his LSJ.

Also, look for evidence of lost-foam casting. You don't want that. ZZP says theirs are "sand casted" which, without getting too technical is their way of saying not-foam-casted. I did see someone's post on another forum where they had an LDK but you could tell from the pictures that it was a lost-foam casting. Be aware.
Although, apparently LSJ's were lost foam and haven't heard of porosity being an issue, but I still wouldn't trust it.
It looks like styrofoam

In my opinion bang for the buck is just buy a new short block from ZZP and have them throw in some forged Pistons and rods while the motor is apart for the reluctor wheel mod. When I got mine they said they would it in at no extra cost. Probably a trade off of labor for the stock rods and Pistons.
The nice thing about the block from ZZP too is no modifying at all was needed to bolt anything up. They suppy you with a new oil cooler to work with the motor.

In fact, Saturn s-series motors were all that. Factory built for 120hp. Dudes put 460 and the blocks were never the issue. Not once.
And as I said i'm not aware of an LSJ having an issue, but also heard they are lost foam. If you design for it, then fine. Apparently mine wasn't so I'm avoiding it. It's still generally a bad idea to put stress risers all over it.
