What is that click after turning off the engine?

Probably a stupid question, but I just got my 2010 SS and am wondering what the clicking sound is that I hear after I turn off my engine? There's a loud click and sometimes a fainter second one. It seems to come from under the hood. Does it have something to do with the turbo?

really? cause it honestly sounds like a ping pong ball being dropped down a plastic tube. And it makes a high pitched beep.

I dont know if I can trust answers from 3 people who dont even own an SS/TC I know my 2.2 never made this noise and i always found it weird and glad OP made this thread

One can only guess with the description given!!

The way he described it to me reminds me of when my TB goes to the closed position.

Some of the noises are also relays turning off, such as the ones for the headlights.

It's the throttle body. Open your hood and have someone turn the car off if you're doubtful about it

Part of that may be because the LNF doesn't have the engine shroud to muffle noises and you may not have had the underhood blanket that is standard on older 2.2's.

I'm so stupid because I don't own a Cobalt.
