not to put other people down but you were trying to justify why you don’t need to compensate because the cobalt was your GG which is simply not the case ...so when you said
a 14 second 1/4....no thanks i stick to the 12's
you really meant ...15's please unless my boyfriend tosses me the keys

well the factory rates the 2.4 at 171 in the cobalt and 177 in the solstice so it could be around 175 on average since gm isnt the best at giving us real numbers, anyway with my mods i have a bit more than that at the engine but not sure what im making at the wheels ill know march 25th though hoping to get 165 at the wheels

Just for a comparison for people to ponder: my old 88 TBI 305/auto/2.73 IROC ran 16.2@84mph stock.

(yeah I know it sucked! I also had a 305 TPI/5 speed/3.45s that ran 14.5)

Your 2.4L SS has virtually the same hp, is 500lbs lighter and has steeper gears.

your hoping to only lose 6 HP from crank to wheel from a injen cai and an exhaust ...this is exactly why I am always questioning your posts ....thats a 3.5% drive train loss

a cobalt base model dynos at about 120hp to the wheels, now with an injen short ram and borla cat back exhaust it makes 140 whp, thats a 20 hp increase to the wheels, now im expecting that a stock ss would make about 150 whp if not more with those same increases plus i have a 2.5 inch corsa exhaust so thats more power than the borla 165 is not far off i dont get where you got a 3.5% loss from ...
