Cleaned my engine bay (got too cold, finish tomorrow) and tried my first time with plasti dip. Will be redoing when I️ take wheels off to replace the struts.
50 mil sound deadener and some home depot special open cell foam/self adhesive insulation that measured out to 100 mil.
Incredible difference in cruising/highway cruise. Cut drone down by at least 60%, eliminated all of the odd rattles I was experiencing and improved stereo/bass quality by a good measureable amount.
Not a bad deal for $75.00 investment and less than maybe an additional 5-7lbs. Next step will be the doors and potentially the roof?

I did that but with dynamat. Barely any trunk rattle with my subs. I was thinking about doing the doors and roof but not sure if it’s worth it.

I'm not either but I figure it couldn't hurt, after how well the trunk area turned out.

Make that a 3rd person. I would love to do my doors and trunk first, although I have seen some multipurpose waterproofed membrane like material used to do the same. Heard good and bad for Frost King (smell seems to be the biggest issue in the summer time).
Dynamat is the best in my opinion but it’s not cheap. Its pretty well just sticky rubber like material with the dynamat logo printed all over it lol. Although they do make a variety of different types so they wont steer you wrong.
Got a link for the mat? Pretty sure I know what frost king stuff you're talking about.

Has been in the upper 80s, low 90s here in AZ up until just last week. Zero smell
No problem. Here's the stuff I used plus a version that's a little thicker -
