Broke and axle and swapped in a replacement in the parking lot at autocross event. Second axle made it through the next day in one piece. Limited slip differential makes big difference for putting power down out of a corner. Now if I send too much torque to the wheels I just understeer a bit but if I let off a bit grip comes right back. Even when exceeding grip it is much better than just rolling smoke from the inside tire and not putting any power down.

Glad to hear u had a replacement on hand JD! Did you upgrade your tranny to the limited slip ? I'm still running on my original OEM tranny & clutch & I believe that my 05 LSJ didn't come with LS

Thank you but actually I forgot to bring my backup but was able to track one down in town luckily. Yes I did upgrade my trans to limited slip though I have a 2.2 with F23. It is OEM trans but with quaife LSD installed. You should be able to tell if yours has it by either looking at the VIN or the ID plate on the transmission itself.

Got my head torqued down. New timing cover gasket. This thing is ready to drop in! Well except for a valve cover gasket but I may have a solution to that until mine gets shipped.

Trying to find a good aftermarket valve cover gasket has been difficult for me. The stock ones are best, that I have found, to reuse. They stay in place as you install the valve cover. The damn fail-pro blue valve cover gaskets like to fall out and only work once because the next time you try to use them they seem to have grown and there is nowhere to take up the slack, at least on the exterior gasket.

Let me know which one you end up using and how it works for you.

I have always went with the valve cover gasket from ZZP. I've purchased 2 of them from ZZP now & both times they went on easy & worked as advertised

stock gasket sticks fine. Blue failpro gasket is much more loose and sloppy.

I use this stuff called chadwicks triple play. You spray it on, let it sit about 15 seconds and wipe north to south. Then you take a clean microfiber and go over it with a light buffing motion. No pressure or elbow grease needed. I bought a gallon of it last year and it did both my vehicles all year long.

(Dont mind the wheel gap, that was before i was lowered)

Then one could say - well that is in the shade any imperfections will show in the sunlight. Well... here it is

I top it with collinite 845 industrial grade insulator wax (twice a year) which is safe to use on cars for extra hyperbolic protection. Otherwise standalone by itself it is incredible stuff with great anti water properties

It is safe to use on glass, wheels, engine bay, interior, exterior. anything you want to use it on. Their no sling tire dressing is mint too. You put it on and you can literally drive away right afterwards with no issue. you can even touch it right after applying and it wont stick to your fingers.

full of salt is no different. I just actually did my vehicle full of salt the other day. Mud im not sure, i drive lowered vehicles and only drive paved surfaces so I cannot speak on how it would fare there.

Iridium NGK plugs 1 step cooler
Valve cover gasket

I also picked up a yellow painted valve cover from Monograt hence why I picked up a new valve cover gasket

The only downside is as I was examining my new parts I noticed that one of the connectors on my injector harness was slightly damaged & I couldn't fix it so ZZP emailed me out a return label & I got it back in the mail so that they can send me a replacement.

Currently I'm running the 42" injectors that came with my GM stage 2 kit & im running with a 3.0" pulley which has my 42" maxed. I'm already running the GM stage 2 belt & while it's still in really good shape more than 3 years later I figured since I was dropping down a pulley size I better throw on a new belt that's tighter with less chance to throw itself off!

I recently upgraded all of my cooling mods by getting the ZZP heat exchanger which is working in tandem with my OEM HE plus I installed the ZZP dual pass endplate & I threw on the option B kit so I'm good as far as cooling mods go. I also installed a 3" ZZP header with their 3" down pipe & their 3" catback with resonator & 3 chamber muffler system so I figured with all of those recent upgrades along with everything else that I'm running it was time to upgrade my injectors & drop another pulley size
Hey, I just wanted to ask a few questions about the zzp stage 2 kit. I've read that you can install it yourself, except for switching out the pulley, which requires a press and possibly a shop to do it. But after you have all the goodies installed, you need a tune right away, so I was wondering if the pcm which comes with the zzp kit, has the required tune already on it, and all you have to do is install it and you are ready to rip?

Took a picture of how dusty my road is now that things are drying up. Easily 100 yards from the road, and this accumulation is from the past ~week

I received 2 new ZZP packages ? in the mail today! It's like Christmas ? morning every time a new Zzp package arrives 😊

ZZP LSG stage 1 axels
ZZP axel seals
ZZP LSJ fuel filter
ZZP front sway bar with bushings red

I'm still waiting on my 3 quarts of Redline M90 tranny fluid to arrive from Zzp which will be needed when I replace my front axels, I also ordered 2 new inner tie rods, driver side control arm & a brand new set of 4 Cooper Zion rs3 G1 all season tires which are rated pretty good & they were on sale! Also got a years worth of unlimited alignments!

Question guys when it comes to my new axels is one suppose to be fir the driver side & the other for the passenger ? Are they different lengths or are they both exactly the same allowing me to use them both on either side ?
