Damn dude that sucks so much man, you have to file a police report for around that area, and if you go through your insurance I do not think it will go up, good luck dude. Sorry again.

Just go there tomorrow and call the police back out, explain what happened and tell them you want to see the tapes to see if you can find out who did it. If the cops can get a license plate # they might be able to track the person down and arrest their butts for Felony Hit and Run. Anyone with half a brain cell would not have run, they would have filed their own report with the police and left some kind of note on your car, this person might have been drunk, or might not have insurance, or worse, might be wanted for some other reason.

Contact your insurance company too and let them know that the hotel has cameras and might have possibly recorded the incident but as of right now they won't let you see the tapes, and let them know you're going back out there and are going to call the police back out there. Depending on your Ins. company they might send a rep out there as well.

Leaving the scene of an accident is a felony in every state I've ever lived in. But I've only lived in 8-10 states. Whether they had a good reason for leaving or not, that's up to the judge to decide.

That sucks, but leave it to the police to resolve. Let them know that there are cameras and they could have recorded the event. I would hurry though. Some places just reuse the same tapes, so they could record over what happened.

You leave the scene of an accident and you've got WAY bigger problems than not having the privledge of driving for a year - you're looking at possible jail time and a criminal record to follow you around the rest of your life since in most states a felony at 17 stays on your adult record. Sounds like if you're only 17 and have enough accidents to be in danger of losing your license, then it needs to be taken away because you're obviously not road-ready.

haha. What I don't think some of you realize is the simple fact that... I don't care? Also your input isn't going to affect whether or not I have my license. I know plenty of ppl who have a mark on there record before they turn 18. Within my first 2 months of having my license I spun out my rwd mustang in the snow and tapped a car and unfortunately got cited. I later rolled through a stop sign. I told you what I would do if I were to hit someone. I don't expect you to agree w/ me but whats it to you anyways? It's your problem if YOU'RE the one that I hit.

I think the mark he was talking about was the felony mark on your record. You know, that mark that basically means you'll never have another job besides Mcdonalds again because nobody else wants a felon on their staff. :P

Just make sure the person you hit doesn't carry a firearm. I haven't seen a person yet that could outrun a bullet. hehe.

there is a reason they take your license for 1 year.... cuz if u have habbits of doing stupid **** you dont deserve to drive. not only is it for your own good, but the safety of others. It's people like you that make people like me (ages 16-24) pay outrageous insurance

Hi honda -

That sucks!

Sounds like an inside job to me - the camera would have captured what happened - my wife manages a large retail store and they pull tapes for people all the time -

good luck with your repairs.

best regards -

this guy i worked w/ his friend was cut off and ran over a curb to avoid the ******* and took out a bush. the same guy then called the police on his cell phone to tell them about this guy that ran him on the road and he was chasing him to get his plate number. needless to say when he called the police they pulled him over for leaving the scene even though he was going to go back to the bush which he took out. he told his story to the judge and they wanted nothign to do w/ it. so he lost his liscence for 6 months. ( in mass here).

ok. I never said they SHOULDN'T take a license away for tickets. How is my first 2 offenses stupid? Do you want to know how much I care if you pay higher insurance?
Ohh.. Maybe that's the reason you didn't get a REAL SS/SC and decided to make yours into 1. Insurance costs.. duh
