what makes your cobalt unique
This guy knows nothing about what sells cars. He only thinks cars will sell if they appeal to him, and he's classified in a small minority of people that enjoy all that ricey stuff on their cars. He doesn't understand that cars appealing to a majority of people, will make more money than car appealing to a small minority.
Mine's unique because it is a prototype , one only, Cobalt LS Stingray. The LS, in this case, stands for "Lil' Stingray". No production units were ever made because the SS sector felt that it would diminish the purity & integrity of the understated factory trim on the exterior of the SS models. Ex: non functional hood scoop (whcich Mustang has always done in production as an adder) ,non functional side scoops ( faux brake vents in this case) which Mustang has always offered on the body behind doors even in cheaper models as an adder), non functional engine breather vents on hood , in addition to fresh air main scoop, which I believe Buick started putting on one of their new 2010 models, labels/badges that imply more power than what is really there, like many production cars in general have done over the eons such as emblems that advertise the liter capacity as if it means something other than the fact that you paid alot more than the schmuck who bought a slightly lower HP & trim, other ID badges -emblems- fake breather ports - vinyl artwork other than elementary school "racing stripes" that divide the car in half (as in visual cues to the heritage of the car - in my case an artists renderring of an actual stingray fish borrowed from Sideswipe the Stingray concept featured in Transformers), minor interior accents like extra information guages just to make it look more complex than it really is (like a Viper - who really needs all that **** - no one - we just like to look at something similar to an airplane cockpit while we're driving - unless you were born after say - um - 1995 perhaps... in which case you prolly don't care about the visuals so much as reading about genuine performance specs.... shame really... not being alive during the Golden Era of autos when looks were more important than actual schpeckss...), and a dash of just plain fun here and there just to make a statement that "I gotts oneaah deeze and you dontssssss. Funny that no mfg ever had the guts to make a hot looking production car in the low end price market just to appeal to the minnows out there who would like to pretend they were whales on weekends just by cruizin' round and turnin' a few heads while at the same time avoiding speeding tickets and sipping gas. But I digresss......... it's just that it's my story of why I chose to get a base LS coupe with a factory installed spoiler. I thought at the time, and STILL think it is the coolest looking low price car that GM ever put on the market for the low end buyer. It's also the reason why I think the Cruze - if not for the lame name alone - will be a flop. Unless GM gets an ******* spokesman for TV like Ford did to sell their mundane looking lineup of "Folkswagons" like the Fuckus (or is that Focus? I forget) and the Fewsons. Then maybe they can subliminally convince throngs of losers (avg. Americans)to buy a car that looks outdated before they even drive it off the lot. Back in the day, we called those kind of cars a Plymouth. Practical, unoffensive, super understated, granny approved to buy as a graduation gift for their hormone gorged grandkid, freaking piece of ****.
But anyway, here is my Cobalt LS Stingray ZR1 C6.r 2008 automatic with an attitude. Sorry de-badgers.... the badges are back.... de-badging is so early 2000's..........

Oh, sorry... Goodbye , and thanks for looking! It was fun. And no, I didn't expect anyone to think that my Stingray-ized version of a Cobalt was going to gather any fans. I posted it all for entertainment, as is why I did what I did to my car.
But in leaving, I'll say one final thing... I remember when the Balt and the new C6 Vette were first brought to TV advertising as a "nose to nose" little brother - big brother type theme.
I had to laugh at the concept. A Corvette has no little brother, and throwing an SS badge with Brembos on a front wheel drive econo car does not a little brother make. Just a thought and a memory of one of GM's last failed marketing attempts right along side the Solstice and The Sky. God forbid they would have actually make that platform into an affordable redo of the old Stingray name. After all, like most businesses, the execs probably weren't even born yet when these iconic names were available. Good luck to GM with the Cruze. And thank you all for letting me visit for awhile !!

Hmm. I dunno:
Candy Apple Red w/ Flake valve cover
golden brembos on summit white
ZZP turbo kit (few other people have, but no other white ones to my knowledge)
Ceramic coated intake manifold
CF center wing
Boost gauge to rpd screen swap
HHR SS steering wheel
ARK STS w/ Reverse lock out (haven't seen another with it)
Smoked LED Talights
