GMPP are the only parts that are technically allowed and still guaranty your warranty.
But, the dealer has to prove the non-GMPP modification you did caused the defect in-order to void your warranty.

i know in the us, anything considered bolt on is not going to void the warranty - or they have to prove the bolt on application caused the error and therefore the warranty will be voided...
if you are looking for some fun and you have the ss/sc or even tc, an intake and exhaust will have you squealing like a kid at christmas, with the sc the stg 2 from gm is covered for a year under warranty, and that will make a world of a difference

so youre saying that an intake and exhaust won't void the warranty? i mean i know that stage2 won't as long as its dealer installed but i wasn't sure about the intake and exhaust. is there any proof of this?? i need to show this to my dad so he will let me get them.
No parts will void the warranty unless the dealership can prove that that specific part caused the problem. Unless it's like a tune or something. That voids your entire powertrain I believe. It does make it pretty easy though, if your car has almost nothing stock about it, which more than likely that caused the problem anyway.

well im completely stock right now, and i have a lot of ideas running through my head...for mods, sick *****... anyway. i am getting a full exhaust (header back) and an intake for sure, and possibly a stage2, till my warrenty is up. then i'll go 2.6-7 with 60's, meth, tune, h/e, and a bunch of other stuff. but would stage2-intake-full exhaust work well??
magnusson moss warranty act................ a dealer may not void a warranty unless the after-market part was dircetly causing the failure of the part you are trying to warranty.... basically if your transmission ***** the bed and you have an air intake = unrelated.... CAI and engine hydrolocks = directly related, your SOL
lol i doubt they would warrenty the tires anyway. ******* didnt warrenty my floor mats

Pretty much, yeah. Although, with lowering springs, if your struts fail, they could easily blame it on the springs.....so add that one to the list.
IMHO it depends on what they have to warranty . If you need a wheel bearing , it's prolly fine . If the motor blows they will look for any excuse to get out of warranting it . It also depends on the dealer , if my motor blew my dealer wouldn't care if i had a 2.6 and a stage tune , he'd just tell me to get that **** off before the rep showed up.
