"You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Don't do it! You've got a good economical car there that will be reliable, cheap to own/drive, and last for years.
I'm sorry that I don't know you, but twin-turbo anything + 16-year old = trouble. You feel like you have the world by the *****, but actually you don't have the maturity or (especially) the driving experience to control the faster cars.
And his is how much older than yours? A '94 with 95K miles is hammered and probably at the point where all kinds of **** is about to break/wear out. That car would likely be a bottomless money pit.
Why does he want to sell?? Why does he want your car??

Not a Sebring
Trade new car for old car? No thankyou. 300ZX TT's require alot of maintnence too. A good friend of mine used to have two of them, both a TT and a non-turbo. Both equally sucked in terms of keeping them on the road and out of the driveway.

If it wasn't a twin turbo i would say no, but since its a twin turbo, it would be a HELL YEAH! Even the N/A ones smoke balts. Fast. Fast. Basically if you think you are okay with putting money in it quite often then go for it. But there might be something wrong with it if he wants to trade his car for your balt. The 300zx is a machine to be reckoned with, so there might be something wrong with it.

Man, those old TT Nissan 300's WERE nice cars, key word here is WERE. I am sure the car has had the **** bagged out of it. It's like an 88 Mustang GT 5.0...show me one that has not had the **** kicked out of it. They are few and far in between.
I'm with most others...don't do it.
EDIT: Here's a link some stats on the 300ZX...both NA and TT. Based on this, I think a standard SS/NA with an intake and a decent driver could make it a close race if it raced a NA 300ZX. Maybe the stats are garbage though.
