My first install will be tint and then the stereo that i've already pre-purchased. Next on the list will be new rims so that I can use the stock for my winter tires and then remove the wing with something less "gody". Once I have heard more from owners that have already installed a new intake/exhaust, I may look into that (I don't want to waste money without hearing about some proven results). I can't wait, but may have to as I haven't got a build date for my Arrival Blue SS S/C yet.

Why do you have to put novice driver signs in your window?

Out here in BC all new drivers start with an L (learner) and when they get their drivers license they have to have the N for 2 years. This identifies new drivers to everyone especially the police as new drivers have extra restrictions placed on them.

First Mods!

Well first I need to get the car. Second I need to find the little waving hand to stick in the back window (cause that is what most people will see as I drive past them). A large shoe horn to get stuff in the trunk. A fitted car cover. Fuzzy dice (what hot fast car is complete without them), bobbing hula girl for the dash,K&N air filter or charger kit (when they make it), Some Bosch Platinum 4 Spark plugs, and some good cleaner to keep the drool off of my car.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH modding my SS has been a problem since their are verrrrry few parts out.

first thing i did was take out all the emblems.
second thing was to paitn my calipers red

next im going to try to make the red around my reverse lights into a light so it looks corvette like.
then im gonna tint and drop it
then engine mods as soon as they are out, Intake, Exhaust, Manifolds, etc.

I wonder how easy it will be to install a new deck considering nowadays they are almost completely wired into the entire car's system.

seriously full suspension upgrade, should be everyones upgrade first. lower the damn car people. makes it look nicer. lower it with tinted windows makes it look sweet, dont put intake exhaust and all that stuff on a car that will produce so much wheel hop because of its stance. please lower the car first.

at the moment i have one of the wheels off because im painting the brakes, i noticed how EXTREMELY EASY it looks to change the springs, I MEAN EASY, and the struts too, so i might just do that in the near future, i have 18's on the way, debadged the trunk of that bowtie, installed HID headlights, i had a intake on it but it wasnt working right(air sensor problems), hyperwhite reverse bulbs, probably getting a short throw shifter soon. i think thats it, besides waxed it a million times already

This might be a dumb question but does painting the calipers void any warranty on the brakes? I'm not sure if GM does that or not, I know a friend of mine has a VW Jetta and painted the calipers on his, then when he had one that seized up he took it in for a warranty repair and they wouldn't cover it because he had "modified the stock equipment" by painting them. I'd LOVE to paint mine but I'm worried about voiding the warranty.

BTW my first mod was a mesh grill to cover the GAPING hole in the front bumper where the intercooler sits.

First mod... red pinstripe.

I've only had it a week... working on some stuff for it, but RIMS are a priority. I DESPISE hubcaps.

My first mod was opening up the airbox, and now that it sounds like a Cessna, I want to do more. But Im very afraid to touch anything, as I dont want to have any possibility of fumbling the warranty. Whats the word on a tint? Does that effect the warranty? (Its obvious I have never owned a brand new car before, right?)

alright,

i tinted it, thats all. i might put an intake, but ill wait and see how the intakes work out first.
i'm contemplating 18" rims and then lowering the car, but then I'd be spending too much.
I really want to own this car for two years, then buy an STi. I dunno yet.
