After owning the car for 10 years now I wish I'd gotten the manual.

 

Why do cars even come with automatic?

My buddy is from France and if you have an auto there you are handicapped or stupid.

 

Long story story short, wife didn't wanna drive stick. We are not stupid people and she does have bad knees.

 

Its a preference.

I prefer Manuals, but I dont think someone is stupid if they get an Automatic. I think its stupid to have Sports cars in Automatic, but thats my opinion.

 

The newer autos (speed and up) are so much better. I had a A4 6.0 GTO and hated that trans so gappy and it used to use 3rd (1:1) if you floored it at 70 MPH so it was slow from a hwy roll but quick from a dig if it hooked. I could have and should have gotten the 6 speed one they had.

 

Only thing I really wish I didn't do was years ago when I blew my muffler apart NLS'ing to 4th a couple days before the track, so I threw a muffler on that I had laying around and made the 3 hour trip to the track, and it didn't quite fit right so it melted the bumper a little bit.

Other than that I don't really regret anything else. I liked playing the progression game with pretty much every setup that's available out there from M62 to TVS to turbo.
