Wheel Hop

Well the other day was the first time i went to the drag strip. did ok. best time was 14.659, i think i could have done way better but that darn wheel hop messed things up. I'm planing on getting that torque dampener and changing out some mounts. but before i do that, i would like to know how many of you have done this and how much wheel hop you got after the upgrades if any.. was it a dramatic change or barely nothing?

don't waste your money on the dampener. if you really want to get rid of the wheel hop get the solid engine mount and tranny mounts from TurboTech. You will have zero wheel hop.

i had the dampener before, it got rid of probably 90% of the wheelhop on the stiffest setting and it vibrated just as much as the solid mount does now. and the solid mount has got rid of probably 98% of the wheel hop. i am planning on adding the tranny mounts this summer.

i have the Bwoody mounts. and yes there are alot of vibes but I really can't say I've experienced much wheel hop since. Maybe once that I can remember and I wasn't even at the track. I think they are great but it will rattle. But if you want a fast car why not make it feel fast too

i jus got lowering springs which helps the weight transfer alot and the trans mounts and i experience vibes from the trans mounts which is expected but not only does it handle like a dream but due to the better springs and better weight transfer as a result of the new springs i havent had any wheel hop yet an it handles great too

if you get the tranny mount inserts along with the solid motor mount, that should get rid of all your wheel hop.

Many color options avaliable, also there have been ZERO structural issues with the TTR mount. The have been some that state the "Ingalls" or "Weapon R" have bent their brackets, making them not work....

PM us if any one has any questions.

The ingalls doesn't bend if installed and setup properly! I have had it for almost 2 years now no bending, still as stiff today as it was then!

Pushing over 260whp and no wheel hop... Not that the solid mounts are bad either though!

But I had the ITD, it sucks! Well, after I put my Mounts in From TTR i realized how much it sucked!

Motor and Trans mounts, and just a little vibe. Nothing bad, Steering wheel is perfect. just the smallest sound from it, + 0 wheel hop. I fon't even remember what it was like having wheel hop!

TTR FTW

TTR FTW
Exactly this is what we hear all the time, the members with the Ingalls think it is "good" but anyone who has tried both state the TTR is the best mount...

Dont know until you try I guess...

I have an Ingall's TD and it helped out a huge amount. The only time I get wheel hop is when the road is wet and I spin the tires. but on a dry road I get none what so ever. The TD is a bit noisy but once you get used to the noise everything is fine. Also, it seemed to help with my acceleration a little bit. I am guessing that is because of the drop in engine movement.

TD and bushings. Wheel hop will be gone.
