wheels stolen
sell for drug money they don't care what car there from as long as they look good and someone will buy them. Or look for a cobalt that shouldn't have SS/TC wheels on it
^^^This, I'm gonna say its someone looking to sell em or they stole em cause they will fit their Cobalt. Keep an eye out on Craigslist for cobalt rims.
right thats what i understood as well but the reason why it doesn't make much sense is because theres nothing special about harbor freight sockets other then they are cheaply made. so unless hes talking about a wheel lock kit they make at hf im not sure how harbor freight sockets would get around wheel locks
The wheel locks that come with the car can be easily torqued off.
I'm the second owner of my car, and that's what I had to do, because the original owner lost the key lmao.
Wheel locks are a joke. Don't park in shady areas too long.
Even at work, I constantly look out my office window and check on my car.
Anyone who lives in Troy knows its pretty damn safe.

ah ok i didnt keep my stock wheels for very long so to be honest i dont even remember stock wheel locks but i have aftermarket ones now. the ones i have are sorta shitty to be honest but the set that came on my moms car are actually pretty nice
I have an aftermarket set of rims on my convertible that take a narrow profile and deep metric socket - that one is the ultimate. I had to go shopping at a couple joints before I found a socket that met the depth and I have it stowed away with a torque wrench for when I need to pull them.
Unless the wannabe-thief is lucky, they'll be trying to get mine off with every wrench and socket known to man, and having an awful lot of difficulty the whole time.
And probably wrecking my rims in the process!
