i am hearing spring guys, different dealers, different word, one said no orders taken no date set, one said take about a month if i order one, and one said spring, whats going on here, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I am sitting here waiting for my LS Coupe.... The dealer said by Feburary... and it may be pushed back to the end of that month.... The cars are in production tho... from what is being said.... SOoooooooooooooooo.. I am hoping that at least my LS.. will be done before then.....!!

OK.. you are all wondering why I didn't get the SS... I cant wait till that comes out... When I get my LS, and if I like it... I'll wait till the smart buy is up.. and then get the SS..

When I dont know... but what I have heard from my dealer... is that they haven't even started production..... but you real cant quote him on that.... The production date on the SS is all over the place.. Even on my LS... They say it's IN PRODUCTION so why is it taking sooooo long for it to arrive.. OOO the other thing I did hear was there was a problem alocating (did I spell that right?? Hmmm?!) all the part! THere is more demand then supply.... Basicaly... I gave up waiting, when I get the phone call to go pick up the car I'll be happy.. and let you all know about it!

I ordered my black SS on december 27th, and it was put into order on the 29th, I just called my dealer and he said that production doesn't start until february, and I asked him about the performance options, and he didn't know anything, so hopefully by the middle or end of february i will have my car!!!!

if u say production starts in feb, it takes 6-8 weeks after that, u aint gettin it febuary in that case

I placed my order for a Cobalt SS Supercharged back on August 10th. I was up at my local dealer a few weeks ago talking to the sales manager and he showed me his allocation worksheet. The worksheet said he could order x amount of Cobalts but put restrictions on what the models/options could be (No SS Supercharged coupes, no LS1A coupes, no LT sedans/No sunroofs). The restrictions don't apply to sold orders. So, it seems to me that if the car has any substance to it, it isn't allowed to be allocated at this time, for whatever reason. I'm really considering driving to the Lordstown Assembly Plant, I live 50 miles from it, to see if I can get some answers.

By the way, I drove by the assembly plant yesterday and today while doing dealer-trades and the lot is FULL of Cobalts, too bad 95% of them are probably BASE models.

I talked to my dealer today, and he said the SS is not even in production yet. He can order anything, and when they are built, they are shipped. He also said that the SS are made to order, wich means they arent going to be flooding the market with them. You net gonna see 10 of them sitting at every chevy dealer, these things are a custom order ONLY car.

Thats what my dealer told me about the redline, but that is not the cae. There aren't going to be as many as the 2.2 coupes, but they are going to be available on the lot , NOT speacial order only.
