Why!?!?!?

I put a injen cold air intake in approximately 4-5 months ago in my cobalt and everything was working fine. Last night on Jan. 27th my check engine light came on and I am perplexed as to why? Any thoughts cause i dont want my warranty to void. thanks for the help.

You're warranty won't be voided.

Have the code read.

You can go to any Auto Zone or Advanced Auto and get a free code read. More than likely it is just the Too Lean code. I've got $20 on the Too Lean code!

I bet the mas airflow sensor is getting bad readings due to the oil from the injen filter. I have seen it a million times. That's why I went with AEM.

If you install the stock airbox before bringing it in. Dirty it up a little bit too. Too many people just put the shiny, barely used stock parts on and get caught. Make it dirty to match the rest of the engine bay and you won't be questioned.

Exactly. That DryFlow filter is a major plus for the balt's rediculously sensitive sensor.

It's stealthy too since you can only see it if you remove the LF tire and fender liner. Just like my GM stage 3 pulley. You would never notice unless you measured it.

My dryflow cost 35$. I wouldn't run any other filter on my car. It's easy to maintain and no cels.

Check gas cap, make sure its tight, i have actually brought my car into the dealership because of the stupid gas cap light.

Also, try unplugging your battery cable for like 15 minutes and then hooking it back up and crank the car up. If the problem is no longer detected, the CEL will go off. If the problem is still present, then have the code read.

Just because the CEL is gone now doens't mean the code is. Your computer still has the fault code stored, and you should STILL get it scanned.

I don't understand why people are so afraid to do that.
