Little known fact:

The SS/SCs have smoked headlights, all other models do not. Unless they canned that in late 07. I know early 07 SS/SCs still had the smoked lights.

yep, its quite noticeable when the lights are disassembled too

 

no they all come with smoked headlight covers now.. i can take a pic if you want

do those look smoked to you? they are in real life but idk about the pic they looked smoked to me but thats cause i just took the pic and saw the lights in real life

 

That sucks. Must be a new for 08 thing or a mid-year 07 thing. I know 100% that ALL 05/06s still had the difference which is all that would matter for that car, since that color wasn't made after 06.

 

That's it... I"m just gonna put LS badges all over my car now.....................

Those look smoked to me. To get a good shot you have to look at the front. I've got two good ones in my gallery, hang on. The 08 non-SS's do NOT have smoked headlights I know that much.

Cause it was yet another SS/SC-only feature. I actually called someone out on a poser 07 by those lights.

OK, there are 2 non-SC'd cars in this lineup (don't look at the redlines, they do not have smoked lights)...if you just look at headlights they stick out like a sore thumb:

It could be that NONE of them have the smoked lights. The red one looks like they are, but the other SS/TC that posted in here most definitely does NOT have smoked lights. It'd be my guess that they did away with them for all models.

the ones on the LS really stick out cause its a white car, and back in 07 every new cobalt i detailed had the smoked lights.. so maybe its just special order for our dealership

i could be wrong the black from the car is making the lights look more clear, if i had a camera id take a pic.

 

None of those are the best of angles, the SS/TC ones in that picture don't looked smoked to me. It's hard to tell when they're up close. It's so subtle it's tough to tell. I've seen pics of even my car where they look both ways. Now I'm curious though, I'm going to look at the two dealerships on my way to my cousins today.

 

I have 07 2.4/ss..do all ss suppose to have smoked tai lights?

NO Cobalts have smoked tails.

The one I posted of my SS/SC and friend's 2.4, mine's an 05. I'll see if I have one of a friend's 05 base.
