i got a person on another forum saying another cavalier SS. why do ppl say that. they dont look nothing alike. and they r on a different platform too. ive heard a couple ppl say that be4. oh yeah he was driving a 4dr civic too. so why do ppl say that?

 

Because it replaced the cavalier and thats it..like you mentioned, they have no clue its an ENTIRELY different car.

Everyone who sees my car asks me if it's an SS, it's almost completely stock appearance wise, cept for debadged...they're ******* retarded.

3) The cobalt/G5 replaced the Cavalier/Sunfire. Same size, same engine, same power, close enough. Yes, it's a different vehicle, however, they are replacements, therefore anyone who doesn't care will say they are the same.

I always refer to my SS S/C as the modern-day Z24. If I look closely enough at it I can kind of see some styling cues that date back even to the late 80's Z24.

Anyway.... I've seen people on other forums refer to the Cobalt as "just a rebadged Cavalier". My response is usually "Is a Cavalier a rebadged Vega? Is a Focus a rebadged Escort? Is the Caliber a rebadged Neon?". I don't get it. For some reason only the Cobalt gets this "rebadged" reputation.

 

Easy answer. It replaced the cavalier and the cavalier was typically a "girl's car" or at best wasn't consider a performance vehicle (it never had an SS Trim). So, the best they can do is bust on us by calling it a cavalier to make themselves feel better about....... themselves.

Ask them to race.... spank them by 8 years (yes as slow as civics are you'll literally end up further in time then he will...lol) and then at the end of the race tell him, "OH ****!, YOU'RE SLOW AS ****... YOU JUST GOT BEAT BY THE NEW CAVALIER".
