I just ignore douchebags like that and around here, that's pretty much every 2.2 owner . The 2.2 Cobalt is the new Civic in Western PA.

In a local city there's a road that's it 2 lanes at a stop light and about 200-250 feet in front of that it goes to 1 lane. Well there's a kid around with a Mustang which he completely rebuilt the V8 engine and all kinds of fancy things and he likes to brag that there's no other vehicle in the state that can beat him. Now this kid's not an idiot because his Mustang runs high 9's to low 10's at the quarter mile and he trys to street race EVERY car he ends up at a light with... Unfortunately his daddy's a cop and he gets away with anything he does wrong. So we ended up at this light and he's sitting there revving his engine (which does sound VERY nice) and when the light turns green he punches it and is barely even moving as he spins his tires, I just put about half gas and I got in front of him and blocked his path so he couldn't come up and cut me off. I know it's not a kill but it was funny to see him pissed off behind me

To my knowledge I dont flyby, If I happen to be driving in the fast lane and I see a car I like I will usually speed match beside them and chuck duces then keep on going. I try to show respect since I know I am slow and would have my ass handed back by most of the people around here. Hell my friend has a Toyota Sienna that kills me and it is bone stock. A minivan with a supercharger and AWD... Kinda makes you wonder what the **** car makers are thinking when small cars like us get the shaft and minivans get SC's and AWD stock on the base model while still getting comparable gas milage.

if you do the old **** block move. where you cut them off or speed up and not let them past you are in dangering the people in your car and other cars on the road. not the best thing to do. i just let them do what they want and don't pay attention to them. i rather not indanger myself or the passageners in the car with me. just my opinon

Maybe some people drive a cobalt cuz they like it and got a good deal on it. And when they drive on the road they see cars as cars and not as members of a "Club". A friend of mine and i were discussing this the other day when we were high. lol I dunno, just my thinking.

You don't have to be a member of a "Club" to know that "flying by" someone doesn't make you cool or "faster" than them. It makes you look like a fool.

This is not to be confused by spectators watching a flyby from the side of the road. Those are cool. Especially the crotch rockets that are doing 180 mph.
