why does my auto lt ony rev up to 4k rpm when in neutral or park. it just kinda stops there and it annoys the crap out of me. how would i get rid of that and what exactly makes it do that.

it's a neutral rev limiter. When your engine isn't under load and it revs too high you can have issues for alot of reasons. With a tuner it can be axed, but it's pointless and i wouldn't recommend it.
1) Why would that **** you off?
2) Why would you EVER need to rev over 4k in neutral or park?
It's there so idiots don't blow up their car from either revving it too high to "be cool" at stoplights, or to prevent idiots from blowing up their car when they rev over 4k in neutral and drop gears.

i have an ss/sc and if i want to "rev" at someone its just a blip...probably doesnt even go over 3500....any higher than that...and its obvious you just know nothing about engines, and watched to much F&F
watch someones engine sometime revving with no load to 6-7 grand.
see if you think it looks healthy having an epileptic fit in the engine bay...

there's no need to ever rev your engine like that. it's not "cool". unless you have a big block or something that rattles window down the street.
