Windshield Banner Decal

Hi Everyone, I'm thinking about getting a long windshield banner for my cobalt. Like for the front of my car near the top of the windshield. Does anyone have anything similar to this so I can take a look? If so please post some pics. I was thinking about getting COBALT or CHEVROLET with the bow tie symbol.

I need to see this too. I had bought a "Chevrolet" one with the Chevy symbol on the left. But I'm having second thoughts about putting it on...

yeah i do not like them, especially with chevy or cobalt, its not needed. but if its GOT to be anything, i suggest your car club name, car name, or something like that. but expect to get flammed for it on here, but i guess that could be for anything. good luck.

I'm just checking out what it would cost to do right now. So far it seems to be about 40 bucks for the sticker and to get it installed. If I decided to get it and a week later i have one of those "what was i thinking" moments, can it be removed by myself?

I would advise against it..only because everyone who has one usually get picked on by other people by saying things like.."Hmm what kind of car is that again? I couldn't read that giant banner across your windshield" and thnigs of that nature...but once again, it's your money and car so go for it.

Also, they are very easy to install and you could save a bit more money by doing it yourself or even having a friend help you out. Also if you do decide to change your mind about it, yes, you can remove it yourself as well.

first, YES you can remove it yourself with a simple razor blade. and also it is extremely easy to install just as long as you get it straight. just use a windex bottle filled with water and one drop of hand soap. spray it on the desired spot of the window and place the sticker over it. this will allow you to slide the sticker around so you can position it. once it is in place just use a credit card or ID to squeeze all the water out from under the sticker by sliding the card over the sticker toward the edge so that the water escapes. doing it this way takes about 5-10 minutes and prevents bubbles from forming under the sticker.
second, here in texas we have an AS-1 line on our windshields. its located on the side edge of the windshield near the top. im not sure how everywhere else works, but here your sticker cant fall below that line or you fail inspection. some places will pass you if they dont care, but others will fail you. be sure you keep this in mind if this is the law where you are at.

I just checked on E-Bay and they are as little as $9.99. I think if I decide to get it I will get a cheap one and do it myself instead of the $40.00 bucks at the auto shop. That way if i decide i dont like it i will only be out $10.00

It is the same way here in Jersey. Also if a cop pulls you over and sees that the banner is below the AS-1 line, you can get a ticket.

If you could post a pic for me that would be great. Only if you have one already, you don't have to go out and take a pic for me to see. Thanks

Yeah, do us a favor bro & post a pic or two. I really want to see what it looks like. I have a laser blue Cobalt, and my windshield decal is white. I'm hoping it wouldn't look too bad.

I like how that looks, I may go ahead and order one. If it comes and i don't like it, I'll peal it off and be out 10 bucks. Thanks for letting me know about the AS-1 line. I just checked my car and it does have one. I never noticed before. The AS-1 line is 5 inches down. The sticker im thinking about getting is 4" so it should be ok

Oh wow, somehow I completely forgot about the cops. The inspection thing really doesn't matter at this point with me. At 35% with tint, it's either you pass OR fail on inspection, depending on who you take it to.

yea no problem. You really can't go wrong for $12. Mine was custom made from a decal shop, but because I do a lot of business with the guy (My car club stickers) he hooked me up with it for $20

yea...seriously. I'm usually not a big fan of them but yours doesn't span the entire length of the windshield and actually fits very nicely in my opinion. Once again, I'd keep it on, but that's just me
