So what wipers do you guys love/hate?

cant drive without? best bang fur the buck? ...etc, etc.

The new rain-x ones that actually put rain-x on the windshield.

 

i still have the stock ones on with 56,000 miles..

when i do switch wipers though im getting the cheapest of the cheap ones. i use rain-x so my wipers rarely need to be used in the first place

 

BTW anybody have problems with their wipers "sputtering" across their windshield and leaving lines?

 

Think I've used mine twice, in 3 years? RainX, twice a week. Can't live in Seattle without it.

Those cheap trico OEM replacement wipers work just as good as Bosch Icons, and last longer.

 

I'm pretty happy with mine.

 

I've tried everything from the cheap crap to Bosch icons and rain x latitude. And IME, rain x latitude FTMFW! nothing else even compares.

bosch evolution. i used the rain-x wipers for years, and when i switched to bosch, i noticed they last a lot longer.

Silicone blade is heat/cold resistant and lays down a coat of silicone with each swipe RainX'ing your windsheild each time they wipe, so then the rain turns into droplets and blows off.

far better then stock, and contour blades can't beat the warranty.

OH AND buy a 21" blade for the drivers side with any manufacturer, the wipe pattern is far better than 22"

 

the thing is with the rainz latitudes that leave a layer of stuff on your windshield...
it shows up as streakmarks. i notice it all the time when driving into the sun, with a clean windshield.

minus that, rainx are pretty good wipers for me. thing is i gotta clean them a lot otherwise they always leave a spot out.

 

I used OEM blades, just swapped them off a new Cobalt on the lot whenever I felt they weren't 100% anymore. I'm super **** about wiper blades though, if they aren't perfect I can't stand it. I got a set of premium ones for the Z and they didn't hold up for crap. I guess i'm gonna have to shell out the money for a new set of something before our real rainy season starts.

 

I tried a rain-x blade on the driver's side once, and it was a big waste of money. It always left about a 3-4 inch gap where it wouldn't wipe in the middle of the blade. Also, during heavy rain, it wouldn't throw the water off of the windshield... on the back stroke, it would pull the water back across the windshield.

After about 8 months, I couldn't take it anymore, so I changed out the blades. I put an ANCO replacement blade (costs just a couple of bucks for a pack of two) into the driver's side OEM wiper. I also figured that there is the possibility that I could have gotten a bad rain-x blade, so I decided to give them a second chance by putting a rain-x blade on the passenger side. After 6 months, the rain-x blade was absolute **** (this was in winter weather) and the ANCO blade in the stock wiper was still perfect.

The only benefit of the rain-x blade is that they don't freeze up like the OEM wipers occasionally do.

Last year, I bought a pair of PIAA Super Silicone Wiper Blades from Tirerack, and I couldn't be happier. They've done a great job all spring, summer, and winter. It's been a year now, so I'll probably buy a set of wiper blade refills for them.

Yeah NOBODY has idk. They use to sell them at WALMART but now they are online only.

They put down a thin layer of silicone each time they wipe....PURE RAIN-X style beading everytime!

Back when I had them on my Corsica I replaced them for FREE at least 3+ times over the life of the car!!

REMEMBER!!:

Stock drivers blade is 22", too big.

If you see the "up-sweep" 22" is so big that by the time it gets to your A-pillar its sweeping back down again. You want it to end parallel to the A-pillar.

21" blade is perfect for this, along with the standard 17" for passenger.

 

Cheap anco ones. They last longer than some of the expensive ones and work pretty good.

 

sounds like they are dried out or bent. if you have a claybar kit you can do your windsheild just like your paint. then i suggest windex them, add some rain-x and install new wipers

i'm still on my stock blades and they work great! i will be replacing them with OEM blades from GM.

 

interesting. never heard of clay barring a windshield. Definitely gotta try this

 

rain x latitudes worked amazing for me, only thing i noticed is they go a lot quicker because there's more contact. Sucks not having a wiperfluid tank

40 bucks maybe 1-2 times a year isn't bad at all
