Wiper Blades

I noticed my driver's side 22" OEM blade has something that looks like a wing/spoiler (hey, even the wiper blade has a spoiler!) and was wondering if it was acceptable to replace it with a frameless wiper blade (Trico NeoForm, Bosch Icon, Michelin Radius, etc...)

Will it be OK to replace that wiper with something that doesn't have a spoiler? I know a lot of cars have wipers that tend to flap at high speeds, which makes me wonder about that OEM spoiler/wing on the OEM blade.

It'll be okay, but they suck ass.

I spend $40 on Bosch Icons, finally got fed up with them leaving water on the windshield, so I through the stockers back on. No more water left behind.

The Bosch Icons have received a lot of poor reviews. My Michelin frameless wipers have worked well for over a year, even in the winter.

The GM beam type blades work really well.

I'm running Anco Contour blades on both Cobalts with no problems.

i have the latitudes as well. while they work really well, they're still not nearly as good as the stock blades were. those things were amazing, especially for stock wiper blades! and you don't need the wing thingy.

The OEM "beam type" Motorcraft blades on my Fords work well typically for about a year. Then they start to freeze up and chatter during the winter.
