Would this work?

Would it be possible to get a supercharged engine that came off a wrecked SS/SC and put it in a 2005 Cobalt 2.2l? Would the everything work?

If you had the SS/SC PCM, i don't see why it wouldn't. You'd have to wire the new PCM into the old harness though. But i think that would be easier than completely replacing the old harness....that would be a bitch.

What is the PCM and where is it located? would it come with a supercharged motor that came out of a wrecked cobalt SS/SC?

I know a guy that rebuilt a 1965 mustang from just the frame for his daughter. he loves taking engines apart and all that stuff so he would be able to help me.

I imagine your car wouldn't like it too much... You'd want to get the engine, tranny, probably a new clutch, pcm, axles, suspension, w rated tires, I'd just get a ss/sc unless all this can be had for cheap and install done cheap.

same as you wre told on the "other site", it will not work... the computer controlls too many things, if you take it out your car won't work... you can't swap motors at this point

you could swap motors. youd need the whole front clip from the ss/sc with all the wiring. then its a matter of swapping it all over. oh ya dont forget the gague cluster.

I still don't see why if you have the SS/SC PCM, and wire it into the 2.2's wiring harness (they are the same for ALL cobalts), why it wouldn't work. The comp wouldn't go nuts, b/c it'd be the same set-up as a SS/SC's is done....It should work fine.
