As the title says...I had my 5 year old son and pregnat g/f with me....evedently 2 cars in front of me stopped suddenly for some reason...and I didn't have enough room to stop so I swerved to avoid rear ending someone and curbed my car and was saved from hitting a tree by an RV....had a few people walk up ato see if we were ok and that they saw what happened...and when the cops showed up...they were all gone...were all fine...I have pics but can't post them on the thread...anyone lend a hand

Looks like hood, light, fender, bumper...
Possible: Tie rod, half shaft, wheel, control arm.. etc etc. Can't see so well since the wheel is up against the rv.
Did you get ticketed then? My brother had the same thing happen but he slammed into the back of the car infront of him and they wrote my brother the ticket for falling to close and speeding.

No....the car I was behind was about 5 car lengths ahead of me....he just stopped that quick....and as for the under area...I poped the hood....its half shaft...antiroll bar and bushing....the tierods looked ok but I think the rack got bent a lil....the claytic converter and pipe...the engine was running fine....no dummy lights...and idled good and strong...thats all I got a look at before we had to go...oh..and there is a dent on the right side on the roof near the corner of the sunroof....I'm thinking unibody damage also...it doesn't curb slide to well...lol

Count your blessings that no one was hurt, and that they didn't give you a handful of tickets as to pay on top of your deductible.

Your damage doesn't appear to be near the airbag sensors, and the airbags won't deploy if your speed at time of impact is less than 39 mph. (for most vehicles its 39, diff vehicles and manufactures have different specs, but 39 is an average #)
Airbags are meant to save someone's head/appendages/body from going through the steering wheel, not to have a soft landing for a little bump'n' rubbin.
