XM or Serius?
I've not had any experience with XM, but I guess like Sony vs M$, everyone has to think one is better then the other when in reality they are most likely just DIFFERENT.
Regardless, I'm a Sirius subscriber and since this means basically free XM.....um....yay??!

when I called Sirius on multiple occasions to switch around radios and activate them, I had no problems
this is illegal, but if they do offer more channels for a lower price i think i, and a lot of other people, would probably suscribe
If they do make their little monopoly though, hopefully they don't abuse it and jack the price way up so we have to pay way more because there's no where else to go to.
I have 4 and the one that was in my 2005 Canyon hooked up in the exact spot that the XM receiver was in. The ultimate in clean installs. Instead of the little XM1 XM2 on the display when you hit the Band button, it had SR1 SR2.
Gonna miss Howard, Octane and Hair Nation but hopefully only until the end of this year.
As far as the merger being illegal, it's not as long as they are using the argument that they are competing against terrestrial radio [according to Mel Karmazin - future CEO of the merged XM and Sirius].
