Your favourite Gear (5-speed Manula 'Balt)

Having fun with my 5-speed road warrior, and wondered the following:

1) Favourite Gear for the Cobalt 5-Speed

2) Why you like that gear

3) Any funny stories about the 5-Speed.

OK, here goes:

1) I like Second gear best.
2) I like it cause I can use its full range every day on the way to work, and it feels great going to 80kph with it.
3) I'm still learning to drive stick well, but so far the funniest is me squeeling the tires for no reason because I'm not used to the power this thing has.

.....how about you guys?

EDIT: hahaha....."manula" is not the Hawaiian Cobalt....I meant "manual"

2nd gear is my favorite. That's when the car truly comes alive and pulls away.

I like 4th. It pulls pretty hard and once you hit the top of it you're going pretty good.

2nd is my favorite gear. The car makes a great noise as you come up through the powerband, and it pulls good too.

I love 2nd now that the CAI is on. It sounds mean!

3rd is probably my favorite on the freeway. Nothing like dropping into 3rd going 70 to pull away from everyone else!

i like 2ec gear at the high rpm the car pulls hard there and then i like 4th gear because the tone of the muffler sounds nice in that gear

Its going to have to be a toss up between 2nd and 3rd for me. 2nd, because I get slammed into my seat and squeels the tires, but 3rd because it hooks up hard and snaps 120mph in seconds! I still have yet to look at the boost gauge to see what I max at during WOT, I just can't take my eyes off the road lol!

3rd gear, it seems to be the most flexible one.

Yea I agree. I love the sound when you put the pedal to the metal in 2end. The intake sucking air into that sc is godly! I just wish I could get better traction.

On my LS I'd have to go with 2nd...it feels like it's got the most pull of the first 3...it definitely loses most of it's kick come 4th gear...I find myself passing in 3rd on the highways all the time, may as well make some fun of it. If first was longer I'd be having more fun with it but it's just too damn short .

I how wonder a dyno in 2nd gear would compare to a standard dyno in 4th... If you would be willing to waste the money on it. it would be done so fast....

2nd gear is my favorite. The reason for this is first you have no traction whatsoever if launching it hard. When you hit 2nd you can just feel the boost kick in hard.

Funny store is the time a girl asked me if she could ride the stick in the car lol. It was brand new and well she was a skanky girl so i declined this offer.

I would have to go with second b/c of the sound the intake makes & the pull that I experience. I also like spinning the tires going into second. And first gear is too short.

I've always had a sweet spot in my heart for third gear.
