Hahn RaceCraft takes great pride in mandrel bending all their pipe upgrades in-house, and this new system is no exception. Our continuous one-piece mandrel bending provides a smoother, better flowing, and more attractive result than welding together multiple 'chunks' of tube sections. Compatible with both stock and Hahn RaceCraft intercoolers, this system replaces your unatttractive stock plastic piping with a better-flowing alternative that won't spring leaks, looks great, and will support any power level you wish. Plays well with Hahn/BSR PPC Tuner.

As an additional bonus, this system will support our soon-to-come Blow-Off Valve Upgrade. It features our own Silicone Couplers and 'no cut' hose clamps. If you like, you can also upgrade to T-bolt style clamps for an additional charge. Powder coated either in our standard gloss black or your choice of colors*.

Available options:

T-bolt clamps
Custom colors*

*Add one week to standard lead time for custom colors. Please email us a photo showing the color you wish to match. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed, but we have yet to experience customer dissatisfaction with the results!

off topic but sorry. would u guys give me a deal on my exhaust if i buy full exhaust?? its like 1600.

hilty003 10-21-2008 10:13 PM

id possible be interested in a red set. doesnt look like that could cost too insanely much....maybe a few weeks. im sitting on about $300 right now that i could blow. is that an O2 sensor mount on there?

No, 02's are in the exhaust system...what you see there mounts your MAP2 sensor and a signal hose for the BOV.

We have our first bid...$300. I'll confess...a bit on the low side, but let's see what other folks have to say!

hilty003 10-21-2008 10:34 PM

ahh ic. well im kinda interested so i wanna see what other ppl come up with. will this help at all with hp/tq/sound haha without the bigger intercooler?

stg2ss 10-21-2008 10:40 PM

I would pay pay about $350-400 and would love for it to come in black or red?

impulseballer 10-21-2008 10:41 PM

no TC here but i would expect t band clamps (or wutever they are called) from you guys.

Available as an option, for sure! Thanks for reminding, I added them.

However...Our 'no-cut' standard clamps are proven effective in these applications, and considerably different from the garden-variety cheap worm-drive hose clamps you may be used to. Made in Germany, these are a major step up, with a series of design enhancements you won't find elsewere. We've sold over 100,000 of them over the years!

lecznar1 10-21-2008 11:14 PM

i'd buy a dark blue set to match the imperial blue of the car and 300 would be great for a price and another color u might also want to put on em is black and chrome i bet lots of people would like that as well

SSdan 10-21-2008 11:33 PM

No turbo for me but $300 is too low. I say $375 as a starting point.

RBC 10-21-2008 11:39 PM

I would be in for 300 but whats the chance of that happening.

Black08SSTC 10-21-2008 11:46 PM

i would be good for $375.00 for gloss black piping and tbolt clamps.

Omega_5 10-21-2008 11:49 PM

+1 on the t-bolt clamps.
I've seen too many worm clams fail to ever use them again.

coryss08 10-21-2008 11:52 PM

I agree 375 gloss black. A group buy on the tuner would be ideal.:)

Black08SSTC 10-21-2008 11:55 PM

shipping included for the $375 though

Cobalt SS 2009 TC 10-22-2008 12:58 AM

I greee ^x2 $375 would be good

HunterKiller89 10-22-2008 03:26 AM

is this piping larger than stock? or just smoother flowing? if its stock sized, do you have any plans for larger than stock piping? Course i dont have a SSTC anyway, but i always like to know what options are available for all the models

IsItFast? 10-22-2008 05:28 AM

How about $675 for charge piping and intercooler combo? (could you do polished for the charge piping?)

steddy2112 10-22-2008 07:20 AM

How about this.

I posted in the other thread and I will put it simple:

Cheaper than Synapse.

Not saying they are high...but Bill you do a GP cheaper than what they have, you can bank on a lot of people's money.

Well if the base price is cheaper before add ons I think you make a lot of money. Good job on new products

TrevMo 10-22-2008 10:54 AM

$300 picked up at your place in Yorkville...

Basically, I'm not planning to do a lot of modding, but realize that the charge piping is a weak point of the design...I just want to get rid of the ugly plastic and get something more reliable...

Why would you want larger than stock? Increasing the diameter of the charge piping without a need to (an effin big turbo), will only result in a slower response time.

ssballin 10-22-2008 11:05 AM

real interested in getting rid of the stock piping too...what kind of performance gain will you get from this kit.

JPizzle 10-22-2008 11:05 AM

What are the gains you guys gain from this?

.... that's both threads...

Again... no real peak gain... simply a supporting mod...
It simply reduces spool time and response by putting less 'give' in the system. Think of conventional brake lines vs SS braided lines. Less expansion in the line, therefore quicker response.

hilty003 10-22-2008 11:19 AM

is this 2.5" piping? i mightve missed it somewhere anyway....im thinking maybe 375 to 400 would be ok if we can manage to have this to include the t-clamps and shipping, i mean it is supposed to be gb pricing. i dont mind waiting longer to have it powdercoated red. possibly interested in the intercooler combo mentioned above too.

Alright...maybe $300 is a bit low...but you definitely need to beat Synapse's GB price of $400...even that price scared away a lot of buyers....they barely got to 10 people...

You put this thing at $325 or $350 plus shipping and people will be all over it...

Lol! Yea, I wasn't expecting 30whp, & 50trq. Haha. But thanks for clearing that up for me!

yea i agree i saw their product retails for $500 and i thought their gb was $400 but i wasnt sure.

red2001ss 10-22-2008 01:07 PM

Black in color would be hotness. I have no opinion on price at this time.

Kage 10-22-2008 01:22 PM

To keep the trend going with my car (only true mod is Hahn 3" Cat Back, and he won me over with that product.. I LOVE IT!) I would be willing to go for $400 or under for a set matching Victory Red and t-bolt clamps. Or would take a good look at a combo pack with the intercooler if you did one.

1WhiteSSTC 10-22-2008 04:10 PM

Just to confirm, this charge piping without a tune won't hurt anything right? I'm just a little concerned as with others adding custom intakes and have CEL codes drop in a week later.

Pipe diameter and shape shouldn't affect the MAP2 sensor... so no, you shouldn't need a tune.

It is my understanding that if you got this charge piping, you would just be replacing ugly, weak plastic with nice, strong metal tubing...that is what I'm hoping anyway...

40rty 10-22-2008 04:34 PM

Here is a question, what is the size of this compared to Synapse's intercooler kit? They have pic's up and that thing is just huge. THanks

JPizzle 10-22-2008 04:45 PM

BTW, when will you be offering your BOV upgrade???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

for a stock car, you wouldnt, but lets face it....there are 350whp blown cobalts...that means with due time there will be 500whp turboed balts, and i just want to know if the people going for turbo swaps have the available option of larger piping.

Turbo'dSS 10-22-2008 07:44 PM

i think $300-$375 including shipping is an awsome price! and id LOVE Gloss Black. thatd be hott!

Frankly, at stock power levels, the gain is small...several HP.

The stock piping, while rather ugly, is actually well up to the task of supporting the stock power level. Power gains realized from a piping upgrade like this will increase as you continue to upgrade the car, since the more airflow you try to put through it, the more restrictive the stock piping becomes.

Yes, 2.5". Ideal for 300-600 HP. Optimally sized, not oversized.

No sir. This won't affect airflow reporting at all, unlike intakes that house the MAF and can affect its airflow characteristics. The altered airflow signature is what throws the codes.

I'd like to address intercooler questions in our other threads, just for clarity :), and keep this one on the Piping Kit. Thanks :cssNET:
