Ohh this is why I dislike this exhaust. On lowered cars it hits the torsion beam.
Cuda in MN had to use zipties or those worm clamps to pull up the exhaust a couple inches. It still hits on really big bumps/pot holes though. He was in the process of looking for shorter (smaller) hangers.

had the same problem with mine. if you don't want to use zipties or anything like that you can always try pushing it further in. that'll give you more clearance. the only thing that sucks is that it the exhaust tip doesn't stick out that much in the back.
I think Hahn should find new hangers that remedy this and either charge a minimal fee as they are cheap or include them in the exhaust purchase. Like a "lowered cobalt kit" could be a addon or purchase for 5-10 bucks and you get proper hangers that keep the exhaust from banging around.

I know before I bought my SS I test drove Cuda's SS. It was like a week or two after his exhaust was installed (lowered car) and I thought I broke the damn thing but it was just like that. Sucks, you kinda think if you buy an after market exhaust...they would of made it work with other aftermarket parts. Anyway I hope they can remedy this issue, I'm sure MANY people would be happy.
If Cuda finds the new polyeurothane hangers I'll make sure he posts them up.

I don’t have the hahn exhaust you guys are talking about, but I have the same problem with a stock dp and GMPP catback. The damn thing hits every time I make a sharp turn or take off quickly. Makes me hate my car.
i think i got a bad fitment, exhaust wouldnt line up with the hangers, and its sitting hella low like 1 in clearance gona get it on the lift again and re check everything maybe i did something wrong?
idk, but im about to get to the point to where im just gonna get it more of a bend over the torsion beam cuz the rattling is getting alot worse and its embarrasing, makes it sound like a fart cannon

Had the exact same problem...I tried wrapping muffler hanger rubber to insulate from the beam but that had limited success...the problem finally went away when I surgically replace the Hahn rear muffler with a Blox...during the install, I had the pipe wedged up as high as possible before welding the new muffler back on...when it was all done, it settled down with plenty of clearance...yeah!
Cuda still hasnt figured it out yet. He did get the hangers up higher but it still hits on large bumps..
Another thing you can try is taking everything apart back to the slip joint after the first right hand bend. Loosen that, tilt it up, and tighten it back down. It helped a bit. I still need to get a worm clamps on a couple of the other hangers. They help a ton though.
i finally went to a muffler shop, they cut the hanger off just behind the muffler and rewelded it back up at a higher point to raise it, and then the part that depressed me was them cutting the muffler off, and realigned everything, it sucked to watch, but everything looks good as new, and it doesn't hit the torsion beam unless i hit a bump really hard, so i think it all worked out, and the dude only charged $40 for the work. Wish i didn't have to cut anything, but yea.....S#!@ happens lol
