Yea....I hear you. I was providing some training last year and stayed in Winnipeg for 6 months. Prices are high. We have a tough time with tarrif prices with our own parts.

just installed the dryflow filter with box lid off...drilled a hole to tighten the airfilter...
anything under 4k revs theres no much difference in sound....
i can feel a tad bit more power though...
BUT after 4k u can really hear the supercharger give off a whineeeeeeeeing sound....awesome!

i just slid the filter up as far as i could, n screwed the clamp with a stubby flathead. if ur hands are not chubby like some people, u should be able to reach inside the airbox without drilling a hole, just position the clamp screw towards the more spacious side of the airbox and reach in there to tighten it.

yes, it would prally be faster if u just drilled a hole to screw it, but i didn't want a hole, i wanted to be stubborn and do it the hard way, but it got done!

thats entirely up to you and the size filter you use, if you could put the cover back in, why not(more protection, but kinda negates the mod itself) but some filters are too big to have the cover on at the same time.

well everyone uses the aem dryflow that fits perfectly inplace of the original filter so i think u can put the bottom back on but that wouldnt make sense to do that

leave the cover off dude ..trust me..think about it too..whats the point of changing the filter if your not gonna let it get more air easier...don't worry about rain..u would have to go through like 2 feet of water to suck any thing up ..you can get the injen hydroshield if you really worried about it though
i've had the AEM dryflow on for at least i think around 8,000km's now i THINK? no cel yet..sometimes with the oiled ones it suks up too much oil and screws up the maf and then you gotta clean it so IMO aem just much easier and you don't really have to worry about oiling up the maf

the website I tried buying it off of had them on backorder, sooooo anyone have an idea where I could find one for under $50 shipped? I want the AEM Dryflow 21-2110DK or whatever
