auto shift light mod... another first, im on a role
OK so heres another mod, ive continued my HVAC mod to my shifter letters....
You need:
-celophane
-scissors
-scotch tape
-about 15 minutes
Step 1: Removal
First pull the ebrake up, and unsnap and lift the plastic out surrounding it. Pop the front first and then the back... just pull straight up.
then pop the back of the piece around the shifter up...
here is the tricky part, pull this piece out and towards you kind of then down to remove it, its tricky.... put the car in nuetral to make this easier then shut the car off
The piece around the shifter comes off next.... it is held on by 4 points, i dont even know how to explain how i removed them,,, alot of force and prying with a flathead got this off... then just turn it sideways and push it as far up as you can go on the shift knob
Take the letter plate off and set it aside...
Remove the piece under it... i took off the white strip to make it brighter...but you dont have to...
you can then put it on your face to look like Nelly when E-Thuging
Now you notice when you put your car in gear, it lights up red to show which gear your in, ok cmon i think were all smart enough to know what gear where in without that, or maybe im just a prodigy... i didnt wanna hurt my green so away with the red tab
BTW this is where the scissors come in... snip!
Step 2:lay the color
Now cover that clear piece with the color cellophane you plan to use. I reccomend double layering it.
Step 3: re-assemble
Now set the colored piece back in there, lay the letters on top and snap it all together
*please dont mind the green letters before i showed you how to do it, some pictures were taken out of order because my dumb ass forgot i was making a how to until half way through

No not that... the plate around the shifter... I don't understand where to pry from... it has like no give at all to it.
On the bright side, I must again give you props on this... the HVAC one looks bad ass in blue (almost as gangsta as your originator-green)!!!

post some blue pics.... ok here is what i did to get it off.... start with the rear passenger side clip, slip a flathead under the and twist it to pry it off.... then i muscled it under the front passenger side clip... then using my fingers ripped the rest off and somehow didnt break it.... this is the hardest part of the mod,... it is very hard.... come to the meet im setting up dude i wanna meet you finally..... dont worry about breaking this piece... its sturdy as hell, and you can probably crazy glue it back down and the center consoul piece might even hold it in place... just dont be afraid and go for it
