2.0 LSJ Engine: Co2 Sprayer The Back Yard Way
I pull this off of a DSMTUNERS website and i though it may be useful for us. We could learn alot from the dsm's intercooler setup because alot of them have figured out back yard ways of doing stuff. Soooooo what that being said I have I accept no Liability on what happens to your car IE i will not pay to fix your car or pay anything to you if something happens. Little disclamer.
How to make a CO2 sprayer the back yard way

Process:
1. First i went to the nearest paintball shop and purchased a special Co2 valve for releasing the Co2 from the tank. I'm not sure exactly what its called. The paintballers use it to carry the tank on their waist wrather than on their gun. I paid 15$ but you could find them for cheaper on ebay.
2. Then i went to a hardware store and bought about 6-15 Ft of hosing. Heat resistant is preferred.
3. Then i bought a few hose clamps and some corresponding plumbing to connect to the Co2 release valve.
4. It's also a good idea to buy some sealent tape to tighten things up to prevent leaks.
5. Make sure the plumbing has a nipple that will fit from the release valve to the hose.
6. You will also need, depending on the size of your intercooler, some thin copper or aluminum pipe or tubing. Its very easy to bend and is sometimes located near all the plumbing stuff.
7. Bend the piping in a spiral and drill very small holes every inch and a half on the side you want to face the IC.
8. Run the hosing through the firewall which is usually in between the battery and the intake manifold, down low.
9. You can run your main unit anywere you want.
10. Fit the sprayer peice you just drilled into the hosing and clamp it really tight. Also try to mount it the best you can with anything. Duct tape works.
11. Also make sure that your hosing is nowhere near any hot or moving parts.
12. Fill up your tanks and start sprayen.

be sure to face the tank down so the liquid comes out if not your just going to be blowing air, if the liquid is sprayed it will be cooler... by the time it hits the inter cooler it should be air. Also if there is too much hose, it may give liquid time to convert to all air and its not exactly cold.
here you go.. if you wanna ***** rig and have a cheap one..

Fellas, there's a nicer way to drop your intake temps by 30-50 degrees. Simply take your windshield washer hoses and run them to the desired location, preferrably the intercooler or any location that the air has to route through before moving to the motor. Drain your windshield washer fluid tank, fill it about 3/4 water. Fill the rest with ICE. Take the car out. Floor it, activate your washer fluid sprayer the same way you always do...feel the power. That simple. Completely stock components, and can save your engine when you've been riding it hard for several minutes at a time. You can even wrap your washer fluid tank with heat repelling fabrics to help keep it cool. It's simple to use, and if your going to race someone, tell them to hold on.. go to the nearest gas station...buy yourself a few cubes of ice, or just take them, lol. Run back to the race scene and use it. Makes a minor difference, but the more ice and longer you spray it, the more power you'll get. Simple. Use this in conjunction with water/methanol injection and you'll have an awesome outcome. The only reason I would advise someone not to use C02 for charge cooling is because C02 is not very consistent. As the temp changes, the pressure changes DRASTICALLY in C02 filled tanks. Every time the pressure changes, the temp of the C02 itself fluctuates. I know this because I was once an avid paintball player. I used Nitrogen/Oxygen in high pressure form. HOWEVER, if you get the C02 cold enough..it will darn near spit dry ice out, which could make a HUGE difference in intake charge temps. Good post though.

HAHA... I was actually thinking of making it a sprayer for the new h/c I"m installing... doesn't seem like a bad idea, but using it for w/i I don't think it has enough pressure to atomize properly, you'd probably end up flooding out your motor.

Darn near perfect for injection. Run the hose to your new CAI, (it usually has injector bosses for dry NOS setups) and give that a try. You should really feel a power increase in the seat of your pants from the washer fluid though because it cools intake temps down and combusts better. It would also be more effective AFTER the supercharger though, when the charged air is extremely hot.
Hey guys sorry i havent posted lol. The window washer fluid is great. I just wanted to do a post on the Co2 because i see alot of people wanting to may alot of money for it. you dont have to use duck tape either. I think we really need to find ways to do free mods or cheap mods. Nothing of coarse that would damage the engine. for example adams way is a free mod pertty much.

Might I also add that even if the water froze in the washer fluid tank, the engine bay would obviously heat up very quickly and over a few minutes, could easily melt the ice, further more making it chilled water again.

man i am still lost, call me a noob but i have a n/a 2.2 if i hooked the water sprayer from the wipers up to my intake and sprayed it in is that ok by what your saying, or is this only really for the supercharged engines
