Hahn Charge Piping Install Instructions

*This is NOT from Hahn....this is my experience and I'm not responsible if you F it up* LOL*
Inventory everything BEFORE install ensuring you have:
~4 pipes
~2 pipe couplers with differing sizes on each end
~4 other pipe couplers
~12 hose clamps(standard or t-clamp if you upgraded)
~An included ziplock bag including 2 screws and the gold colored fitting that screws into the pipe for the sensor(make your you put some locktite or specific tape on the threads for mechanics)

REFER TO PIC BELOW FOR VISUAL AS YOU'RE READING

Now you're ready for install.
*
You WILL need to get your car on a lift or jackstands but I highly recommend a lift. As you install everything be sure to put the clamps on in such a way that you can get a socket on them to tighten. De install is very simple....take it all of* * (raise the car to get the stock pipes off the IC..you MAY want to undo the plastic clamps to pull part of the plastic down under the car to get to the IC clamps....you will see what I'm talking about)

1.First small 90* pipe (pipe #1)attaches to the top of the turbo with one of the off set couplers...small side to the turbo.* Face the pipe to the right before install. Clamp** +Do not completely tighten Clamps until entire install is complete

2.Attach the longest pipe (#2)(with the shorter end by the bend)to that with a normal coupler on each end allowing the longer end to go down towards the drivers side of the IC.

3.Now get the car back in the air. (first time being for de-installation of stock pipes)

4. Having the passenger side pipe off of the IC....install the sensor that came off of the stock pipe to the new pipe(pipe #4)(again ensure you use locktite on the gold fitting and let that sit while you install the drivers side pipe to the IC)

5.PAY ATTENTION HERE!!!!! One of the two remaining pipes not yet installed is obviously for the passenger side of the IC to the intake manifold that has the sensor that you just set aside to set.* (pipe #4) Now is where you will have to be careful.* The last pipe (pipe #3)has a bend in it and and two different length sides.* REMEMBER THIS:* The longer end of that pipe comes off of the IC and the shorter end meets with the pipe that comes down over the valve cover* If you get this wrong your pipes will be too high for you hood and they will NOT clear and you will scratch your head all pissed off that your pipes don't fit like some have done.* I've done mine and helped another buddy with his on here so trust me. Clamp

6.Next install the last pipe with the sensor.* **
+For a MUCH easier install...install the second offset pipe coupler to the intake manifold without the pipe first...trust me!* Then with the pipe coupler already on the other end but not yet pushed onto the IC....push the pipe into the bigger end of the coupler on the intake. Clamp**
+Now install the other end onto the IC(it will take some bending and/or prying* with a lil pressure to get on but not difficult at all). Clamp

7. Install sensor with a hex #3 being careful not to overtighten.* It's pretty impossible but make sure you put it on the right way.* **
+Attach the hose that you took off during assembly to the gold fitting

8.LASTLY ensure all hex screws; couplers and clamps are fitted properly and tightened and that nothing came loose during install.

Enjoy

^Thanks guys. This is a temp helper until some instructions come out. Hahn has been so great I thought I'd help em out a lil with this. Not perfect as there are some little details people will do on thier own but I felt this is pretty idiot proof if you print this out and walk through the install on the car.

Yeah the filter IS high.* Plenty of room below it for air....unless you go swampin'......it's perfect.

Thank you for a very informative how-to. There's nothing better than the point-of-view of the enthusiast-installer!

Yes. Even just the front but 1000 times easier if you do.

argh! I'll put my car up on the ramps ... it gives me about 1 foot of clearance underneath. Hopefully I can access the clamps without too much trouble.

Thanks!

You can definitely hear the turbo better (I have clear image performance CP)... **** I can hear the "whistle" when I get on it slightly. With the catless DP and CP on at the same time the turbo spools sooo much better and quicker
