How To: Add Pictures in your Forum Posts

Ok so I see a lot that there are still those people who do not know how to put pictures into their reply in a thread or post pictures whatsoever! So follow the steps below and you will master how to do this! Taken from my post on RLF...

Sections:
1: Pictures from your Computer
2: Pictures from your Photo sharing site (i.e. photobucket)
3: Pictures from other websites

Pictures saved somewhere on your computer into your post.

1. Have picture(s) saved on your computer somewhere you know.

2. When you click on the "reply" button in a thread, or start your own, you will see what is shown below. Notice below the text box are a few side options. One of these options (circled) is "Manage Attachments." Click on this button.

3. When you click on this, a pop-up window will appear as shown below. Make sure your pop-up blocker isn't on, or else holding the Ctrl button while clicking "Manage Attachments" might work. In this pop-up window, click on the button that says "Browse."

4. When you click browse, another window will pop up, asking you to select a file. Notice on the first pop-up window the file formats supported. Also make sure your picture isn't too big or it will not upload.

5. Once the file is selected, obviously click upload. It'll take a little bit, but once the file has uploaded, you will see it below, or however many you uploaded, in the pop-up window.

6. Now, exit out of the pop-up window and return to the original CSS page. If you look where you clicked the "Manage Attachments" button you will see the files you uploaded listed.

7. Once you write whatever you want in the text box, and click reply, the pictures will show up in the format shown below. Users click on the thumbnails and they enlarge.

Online albums such as from Photobucket (.com) account, you can add your pictures as well. Below is how you do it.

1. First, you must upload your pictures to your account albulm from wherever they are saved using the upload feature on the CSS site. Once you have your pictures in the album, you will see 4 options of code below each picture. The link you want is the one labeled "IMG Code" as shown below.

2. You simply click on the hyperlink text and it will automatically copy it for you (in PB).

3. Once copied, return to the CSS reply to thread page and past this text you just copied into the text box.

4. When you do it this way, instead of thumbnails shown in the thread like the previous way, pics will show up like this (make sure they're not too big!):

For pictures you see on the internet, you need to use the hyperlink text.

1. First, locate your picture. If the picture is on a page with a bunch of other stuff, you can single out the picture by right clicking on that specific picture and selecting from the menu "View Image." This will take you to a page similar to what is shown below where you need the text in the address bar copied.

2. Next, once you have the address copied, return to the CSS reply to thread page and above the text box you will see a little button with a small picture of a mountain on it, it's yellow in color (you can't miss it).

3. Click this button and a little window will pop up asking you to "Please enter the URL of your image." Paste the link copied into this dialog box and click OK.

4. Now in the text box you will see the image code with your pictures information.

5. Finally, type your text and click reply, and the pictures will show up in the thread not as thumbnails, but as the larger, original picture as seen on the website.

Then you're done. Hope this helps the newbs!
