Thats the exact same one, except its kph. It's the only one that goes to 160 mph. The red don't show up much at night. If you need a one from a 06 you could probably email him. Seems like a good guy to deal with. I just bought a ss leather steering wheel with all the controls and wiring on it from them so I can do the cruise control and audio controls upgrade.

Nope, the cluster will automatically adjust itself and you'll be fine. I just installed the 140MPH SS/NA cluster in my LS...I've got an 07 SS/SC cluster coming though so I can have my DIC controls back since the SS/NA is from an 05.

The next time someone swaps out there speedo would you look at the connector that plugs into it and tell me what position the grey wire is at. This will need to be someone with factory fogs, as it has to do with the foglight switch. I need to know which pin position it is in. Thanks,..... And a big thanks to this How To, the new 160mph speedo looks great!

just istalled the white 140 guages from an 06 into my base 05 no problems, I like the look of the white better than the 160's but yeah, no issues at all with mileage or DIC functions. Good write up!

That was my initial though when I got the 140MPH cluster, but then after a few days of having it in, I decided I wanted the black back so I'm quite happy with my 160MPH cluster. Just need to find a new home for the 140MPH cluster I have.

If anyone is interested, I do have a 140MPH cluster for an 05-06...will work in 07+, but DIC is not functional...only in 05-06. Let me know if you're interested and we can talk about price...IT WILL BE CHEAP compared to ebay and elsewhere.

I like the whites better than the black because they pop more and I LOVE how they light up at night, and black back guages to me are just too plain, they are in pretty much every other car.

Pretty good write up.
Though it needs to be said when you remove the trim around the cluster to be careful not to hit the top of the steering column trim as it easily scratches.

With that said I have an 09 160mph cluster in my 08 2.4 and love it. The white 140 was just too bright for me.

I'm not sure either, but I think it might have been part of the appearance package that LT's got (with the SS wheels and fascia).

Hello! In the How-To, the OP has a check engine. Is it because he changed the speedometer cluster?! I don't want to do the swap and then get a check engine as my remote start would not work anymore! Thank you for answering!

No, you won't get a check engine light from doing the swap. If you notice, he doesn't have the car running, just has the ignition turned on...now if he had a CEL for real, it's due to something else.

The SS/SC/TC clusters just feel nicer than the LS/LT/SSNA clusters

No, if your DIC doesn't work, it doesn't work. It's from an 05 or 06. That was the problem I had when I bought one from eBay. Seller "THOUGHT" it was from an 07, but didn't know. From now on if I buy a year specific item from eBay, they have to KNOW it's the correct year.

Nothing you can do but try to get them to accept it back or re-sell it.
