How-To: Headlight Fogging
Headlights fogging?
Materials Needed:
Bath Tub (or Oversize Sink)
Water
Silicone Sealant (or Equivalent)
Sharpie
Step 1
Remove both headlights from the car, remove all bulbs and wiring from the lights.
Step 2
Start with one Headlight. Put about 8oz of water in it, then slowly rotate the headlight on it side so the water inside is going around the edges.
Step 3
At every point that the sealant is weak, the water should leak out of the headlight.
Mark every spot where the water leaks through the sealant with the sharpie, repeat as necessary. Personally, I had about 5-7 seperate places where each headlight leaked.
Step 4
Dry off the headlights and begin resealing the spots that leaked with the Silicone. Use an old credit card or something else to keep the silicone in check. I spent about 30 minutes to make sure everything was very well sealed.
Step 5
Leave the headlights in open air for about 3-4 hours to dry, if they still arent dry when you come back, leave them some more.
Step 6
When they are dry, reinstall the bulbs and wiring, and reinstall them into your car.
Step 7 (Optional)
If you're really picky, after Step 5, you can redo the process to make sure they are properly sealed.
Good Luck!

Anybody know how hard it is to remove the headlights? And if there is any trouble realigning the headlight so it doesn't blind people or point at the ground?
Also, perhaps a 1-10 rating on difficulty would be nice. I installed my own CAI and torque dampener no prob, but for some reason i get nervous when messing with cosmetic stuff.
