yea this weekend I had time to play with this, but the only thing I DO NOT like is that on my 07 the t/c will NOT let me spin in 2nd the t/c kicks in and shuts it down for a few sec. anyway by that?

I tried that and it still does it, and some people say one click on the park brake but that doen't help. I do know that sometimes when its raining or wet out side it will spin with out the t/c coming on but that has only happen a few times, most the time the t/c will stop me from spining, well I gues its just doning its job

^ on lunch today I was driving around and I timed the shift just perfect between 1st and 2nd, I let off the gas for a split second right has it shifted and then nailed the gas aging. It sounded just like a five speed I mean just perfect, and it did chrip and no t/c!

if you engage your e-brake one click it will disable the T/C

this is not true on 07 and 08 models they come with all gear traction control unless you have a lt and then that might work.

easiest way to find out if you have all gear traction control is to click up the ebrake if the t/c light pops on then you don't have all gear traction control and this method will work for you... if it doesn't then you do and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

yea i have an 07 and the one click on the ebrake doesnt dissengage t/c, so the only real way to do it is to pull the fuse if really thought i needed to have it off

not on the 07 - 08 i could be wrong, but when i read that i also thought i read something that said it wouldn't get rid of t/c on the 07 08.

pull the fuse see if the light pops on then you will know for sure.

indeed hehe.. i actually like the all gear traction control... why would you ever want to turn off t/c so you can do a burn out? sorry but i'm old enough to not need to buy new tires cause i was showing off to my friends or whatever other reason people have for doing stuff like that lol.

yea being able to spin the tires doesnt really interest me anymore. The last time I did that, someone called in a complaint to the cops. So its no more fun for me.

I'll tell y'all now tho, if you go to the dealership and have to have anything electrical/engine/tranny done, they will ask you about the shift box.

I took mine up on President's day to get a CEL looked at (turned out to be a bad ECM and O2 sensor) and I get called in about 20 minutes after I gave them the keys

Parts Guy: Our tech guy wants to know what that box is under the wheel

Me: Box? Oh that switch

Tech guy: Yeah, what is that?

Me: Electronic B&M Shift kit made for GM transmissions

Tech guy: Where is this going to? You're not covered for this.

Me: Its wired to 2 wires for the transmission that control the amount of fluid pumped in.. it shifts quicker and harder

Tech guy: Alright, but where is it going? (he sounded like a dick and was getting upset.. so was i)

Me: I told you, its sodered to 2 wires in the transmission, in the wiring harness in the engine bay. There is no way that has ANYTHING to do with my o2 sensor

Tech guy: I'm telling you, if it has anything to do with your problem, you're not covered and we're gunna have a problem

Me: Its not going to even relate, I told you what its for.

Parts guy: Its alright, we just needed to know, thanks.

<car gets fixed 2 hours later>

If possible, hide the damn box if you're takin it to the dealership. Technically they can't do ****, unless the aftermarket part is causing the problem - then you're screwed. I've heard no problems that the B&M has created. Figured I'd chime back in months after I last posted in this thread.

thats why you don't solder it to the trans use the clips it came with if you take it in for service just remove it, its not like its difficult to remove or anything.

and if your to lazy to remove it then its the possible price you pay for modifying your ride. take it or leave it truth is truth.

Well I just installed my shift+ yesterday and boy what a difference. I'm not into performance mode but this is a great cheap upgrade. Definitely would recomend it to you automatics. My car accelerate much quicker now than without the shift+.

it only shortens the delay of the shift, doesn't really make your car faster, i think someone tested it it was good for like a .1 on the quarter mile, but it sure does make driving a automatic a lil more fun. no falling assleep at the wheel that is for sure.
