how to install cat-back exhaust... lots of pics

this is a how to install a DC sports cat-back exhaust... it is very easy and can be done by anyone with a socket set jack stands and a dremal..

***WARNING & DISCLAIMER***
make sure you jack the car up safley and securley.. i am not responsible if you crush yourself due to improper jacking.

step 1) open your new catback exhaust and dont let your dog eat the peanuts.

step 2) safley lift your car..... i put tires under mine for added safty

step 3) undo these 2 bolts... thay came off easy for me with just a socket set.

step 4) you must cut the stock exhaust... i cut mine here and i used a dremal and 6 cutting wheels

step5) take off all the black rubber hangers there are 4 of them and thay just slide off

step 6) now your old exhaust will come right out

step 7) now just install your new exhaust buy hanging it back up to the rubber hangers and then bolting it back together where the bolts are remember to follow the directions that came with your new catback

nah, dealerships and some bigger places will charge you an ass load of money.

ive always charged anywhere between $20 - $40 (depends on what needs to be done, and how long it will take me)

Stupid question: Does a cat-back exhaust come with a cat? I was under the impression that the exhaust came after the cat. Maybe I'm just interpreting the photos wrong? Thanks.

And I thought by now I was past the noob stage.

Thanks. One more question: How come it is neccessary to cut the exhaust? Does it go over part of the frame?

it goes over the rear axle.. so if you dont want to cut it then you would have to take your rear axle off
