How to Install the GMPP Exhaust. Video/sound clip lots of pics
Hey i just got the Exhaust. But fortunately i have a Do It Yourself garage with tools, vehicle lifs and everything else. I only payed 13 dollars total when the dealership told me it would cost 250.00. HAHA It took me and a buddy about 30 minutes from start to finish.
Now i will tell you how to install this thing:
Step 1- You need to gather a rachet with the extender head w/15mm socket and a
Reciprocating saw or a hack saw
Step 2- Lift the car or do what you have to to get the car off the ground so you have room to work with.
Step 3-
Then you have this
Step 4- Unbolt this flange/remove the rubber hangers and you have to twist the mid section pipe to get it over the rear axle but its not hard. Then toss that piece off to the side but put the rubber hangers on the new exhaust pieces.
Step 5- Then bolt on the new resonater tube I think its called with the flange on it. (DONT FORGET the metal gasket where the flanges meet together) And you put the mid section pipe on and put a C-Clamp on as shown below.
Step 6- C-Clamp on the End muffler to the Mid-section and put your choice of tip that will fit a 2.5" tube because the end flares out for the last like 3 inches of the muffler and voila you have a newly installed bad ass sounding exhaust.

trent_ky --- the exhaust costed 523.00 total without installation.
fiShYs- ---I had to cut the muffler because you cant get the mid-section pipe with-out cutting the resonator off.
1ecoss --- The flanges were not hard to take off and they werent rusted because my car is less than 2 months old. You just have to put the nut on the bolt to protect the threads and then hit it out of place when you take off the mid-section pipe. I think that you could take it off by putting it on floor jacks but you would need to jack it up as much as possible.
I think the exhaust sounds great, deep tone/muscley sound. AND I AM GETTING SOUND CLIPS TONIGHT. CHILL OUT GUYS. I AM A MILITARY POLICE OFFICER AND HAVE LITTLE TIME OFF. GIMME A BREAK.
