How to install Turbo Tech Racing poly engine mount.

Here is the How-To for installin the new Turbo Tech Racing polyurethane engin mount.

Tools you will need:
- Ratchet
- 6"-9" extension
- 15mm socket
- 18mm deep well socket
- Floor jack
- Block of wood

Step 1. You will need to support the engine since you will be removing the motor mount. Place the block of wood on the floor jack. Place your jack under the oil pan and begin lifting(shown below).

Step 2. Remove the 15mm bolts and 18mm nuts holding the mount to the body and motor. Keep these nuts and bolts as you will be reusing them on the new mount.

Step 3. Replace it with your new polyurethane mount and reinstall the nuts. You may need to adjust the floor jack height to get the bolts to align properly.

Thats it, now go have fun.

Nice how-to. I have a couple questions though. Which other wheel-hop/suspension mods had you done before this mount.

And How bad would you say the vibes are?

I've done pretty much all the other mounts, and am thinking about ditching the Ingal's Torque Brace for this as well

I had the ingalls and I like this much better, although Im curious if you can even use the ingalls with this too. The vibes are noticeable, and as much as the the ingalls if memory serves me right. They are liveable though.

I think no matter what you hafta adress each point of flex. I don't think there is a one piece solution, but rather a package of choosing the right mounts for you. The more you stiffen the less wheel hop you will have.

I personally feel that the Trans mounts and CABs provided the most noticeable gains for me in wheel hop control, but I only have a dampener for the motor mount, and not a solid mount yet, so I can't compare how much this alone removes.

But with each additional mount that I have done on mine I have noticed improvements. SO I think the answer is that ALL the shitty stock mounts must go, lol. Hello vibrations, goodbye wheel hop

I completely agree with what you are saying. My last car was an '01 cavalier and i replaced all mounts and the difference was night and day. The engine response was good and the transmission shifted smooth as silk. i plan on doing all mounts, I'm just curious how this one mounts up (hah! pun) against the other motor mounts on the market.

I'm curious as well if the Ingalls brace will install on top of this without issue.

I know what your takling about, but i think it just needs to break in, I let mine do so and I get no wheel hop when I rip it in first.

The Ingalls will not fit over the TTR mount, you dont need both.

Also RuSSo, did you get in the tranny bushings yet? If you have the TTR mount and the Prothane bushings it should eliminate most all wheel hop. (some roads will yeild different results that others)

Prothane tranny bushings are a must for maximum performance.

Actually, no. I havn't put the Trans bushing's in yet cuz it looked like a harder job and I was gunna wait till I had more time in a day. This weekend I'm putting the trans bushings in and I'll see what happens. BTW, The Ingalls TQ/D just miss's working with your motor mount Aaron.

p.s Motor Mount look sweet in there. I hope with the trans bushings it kills some wheel hop.

+ rep for TTR

does anybody know the gm torque specs for the bolts on the engine mounts, because you're supposed to torque them back to stock specs?
