i have to say i've never agreed with the offset scoop look, but i love the idea that the hood scoop actually scoops the air to something. About your shaker intake idea, that sounds like a badass idea. i've only seen that on muscle cars but since when is there a rule saying that compact cars can't have it. for my car i want something that will give me the cold air intake affect without the chances of water getting in the engine. i loved your idea but i just don't agree with the look of an offset scoop. neither have i liked anything rising out of the hood. sorry i'm sure i sound picky but that's how i am. i like the effects of cold air but i hate the chances of water gettin in there. i dunno my mind is conflicting about it. that's why i want an intake that you can change.

Interestingly, I got air but no water. The offset scoop thing is a matter of taste. I prefer a centered scoop, but I also prefer functionality over looks. Take a look at the RKSport ram-air hood. It uses a full width intake that's very subtle, nothing actually rising out of the hood (it's like the hood is dropped a bit for the intake).

yea i've seen it the hood i wanna get is this one:

but that one was chosen for looks only. the only functionality i see it having is heat dissipation. but if i were parked and it were to rain all the water would flow right into the engine. i was thinking of trying something like the firebird. my parents have a firebird and the intake is like right in back of the grill so it would be like a short ram intake suckin in cold air (well whatya know 2in1 intake, sweet) i just need to figure out how it keeps water from gettin sucked in.
