BTW... didn't need a hammer or a mallet. Just unbolted, pulled the head rests straight forward and then just gave it a bump with my hand and out they popped.
if your car doesnt have them. its different.

........If I remember correctly, when brakes are applied, your body goes forward......so if you slam on the brakes they necks won't snap...you have to be going really fast in reverse and come to a complete stop on a dime for this to happen correctly, or just get rear ended by someone in an escalade on 26"s!
