The SS emblem is noticeably bigger . If I remember right the Cobalt is 2 1/16" and ALL the SS emblems for all the other steering wheels is 2 3/8" .

Unless you dissassemble your airbag cover .... which is assembled to not be a serviceable part , you cannot properly swap out this emblem . The way it mounts youll NEVER get it back in right . The are LONG aluminum fingers that wrap completely around groves on the backside of the cover .

Sometimes the truth hurts. My issue is that this guy unknowingly was giving out information that could promote this type of dangerous modification. The fact is that us engineers got a chuckle at this youngmans expense, but it dawned on me that someone could get seriously injured by such activity. Sometimes making someone feel 2 inches tall leaves a lasting impression.

My guess is that you will think twice about any modifications you will make on your vehicles from now on.

I tend to forget that most Cobalt drivers are teens to young 20's. So I should be careful because young people are easy to go on the defensive. We are all young once and you should not take comments from your elders so seriously. You will understand someday.
