Either way... that's unbelievable. I just shipped my Stock A-pillar and boost gauge to a guy in Canada... cost me $8.00 to ship it.

From the dealership, but it may not be in stock.

Is this a bolt that has TQ specs? Or just tighten it down pretty good?

Will this fit the LE5 with no problems? Or will the 8 grooves give me problems?

I noticed on the jbp site, that they have a lighter alternator pulley, would it be worth it to buy both of these?

oh, my bad

Before I get this, I just wanted to make sure that this is the same size as the stock pulley and just lighter. But if it is smaller, will it affect the rest of the car's components?

Its the same size, just lighter.

And also, My Chevy dealership only charged me $6.36 for a new bolt, so its not like a crazy "specialty" $40 bolt.

Very... once you take out the original bolts... they are junk. Just like the head studs... they are Torque-to-yield... one time use only.

Could this be it 3815933? Can we get someone from GM to help us out with a part number?

Ohh yea, one more thing. I am going to need any special puller to get this off? Or once I unbolt it will it just slide off? Thanks.

Well I got the part number for the LE5. Cost me $7.81 special order at the dealer and takes 4-5 business days. Part #:11589123

Does anyone know, if I wanted to just remove the belt on my a/c how difficult it would be? And I only want to do it temporarily for the track...shouldn't hurt my car combined with the lightweight crank pulley right?

Is there no length spec on them? Most TTY bolts can be reused if they are below a maximum length spec.

You need to know how long it can be to be re-used. Some TTY bolts in the marine apps that I deal with can be re-used 4-5 times, and they get torqed down much tighter than anything on this car will ever see.

You need a torque wrench. If you don't have one, buy one. You should have one to rotate tires or anything like that anyway. Get a basic click-type one unless you do heavy work on a regular basis, they can be had for less than $50 at most places. I've seen them for under $30 at Harbor Freight.

Okay, so I asked the dealership, and they told me the first path is 74 ft/lbs and the final path is 75 degrees.

Simple question, the degrees is what makes it a TTY bolt, right? Like, after it is torqued down, I turn the wrench another 75*, right?
