That pic of that unit is incorrect for the LSJ. The LSJ has a keyway and a long snout (as in our pics of the first unit).

However, I did stumble onto RKsports' unit: http://www.rksport.com/main/part_det...mdid=2&catid=3

This one looks awfully similar to our drawings. Without having a 2.2L or 2.4L crank pulley in hand, I can't tell if the dimensions are the exact. Regardless, This unit has a larger diameter than stock, which we aren't too keen on manufacturing.

Again, maybe the 2.2/2.4L one may work..??? I just don't know for sure.

But a crank pulley is supposed to have some sort of dampner in it to relieve stress on the engine. Solid billet pulleys can cost horsepower, as was proven by Fluidyne, even from the stock unit. A good quality aftermarket dampner will allow more power output safely though.

True, the stock unit has rubber in it as a damper and is also balanced. Ours will not have rubber as it will be solid, but it will be balanced.

Whats the weight reduction?
Total weight should be around 2.5lbs.

would we have to get a new belt.
No.

Hmm, Looked at versus measured. I think they might be the same mounting, but at different diameters.. can you measure any of the units?

they are DIFFERENT.....
i pulled this from crateenginedepot .com site...
there is a underdrive pulley for the other motor but not the 2.0l supercharged motor...\/read

Ecotec Billet Crankshaft Pulley 88958631

"This billet crankshaft power pulley has a reduced diameter to minimize the horsepower robbing drag of the alternator and air conditioning compressor.
This crank pulley would NOT fit the 2.0L LSJ. The naturally aspirated ECOtec engines (L61 and LE5) have a 6-bolt crank, while the boosted ECOtec engines (LSJ and LNF) have an 8-bolt crank. The GMPP crank pulley is made for a 6-bolt crank. The purpose of the billet crank pulley is to withstand the rigors of racing applications that involve extended time on the rev limiter." from crateenginedepot .com

That doesn't make sense at all... There's one huge M14 or M15 bolt that press-fits the damper onto the snout of the crankshaft.

Yeah there's a diff between the L61 and LSJ crank on the other side, where the flywheel bolts up, but that has nothing to do with the front of the engine where the damper bolts up....

Alright folks, the price is in.. The set MSRP price is: $349CDN Thats the recommended price for our dealers to price around... (Typically they'll sell for less.)

We're offering our dealers an immediate incentive pricing for the inital product release. Which means, they'll be much much lower than the MSRP. Dealers, feel free to post your GBs on your websites repspectively!

Ouch. A little steep in price. I was hoping for quite less in price. Well guess you got to pay to play.

thats the MSRP price. Dealers will sell for less. However, we are promoting this new piece with a huge discount offered to dealers, so the final price will more than likely be less than $300 depending on dealer pricing.

I would love to see how much a typical dealer would be pricing this piece.

It's about 355 i think. Around that. But keep in mind this is just MSRP. Hopefully it is significantlly more cheaper.

Just got the first two proto-types. They're going on two cars for testing. The units shown will be balanced first and the keyway for the crank broached. they are shown with a specific case-hardening for extra durability.
